Last weekend we had a really short but fun visit with Jeremy’s parents from Arizona. While I had to go to work on Friday everyone took a visit to the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster Colorado. This is a fun indoor activity that is perfect for family days out. I am bummed that I missed the fun but these pictures speak for themselves.
One of Jude’s favorite things about going to the Butterfly Pavilion is getting to hold Rosie.
YIKES! Yes that is a Tarantula spider in Jude’s hands. He loves her. The Rosie program is great, it allows children and adults the chance to hold something that you never would hold in the wild. It takes confidence and bravery to do this and Jude does it every time!
Oh lucky Grandma got to hold Rosie too! Brave Grandma, I am not sure if I would have done it. Good thing Grandma went instead of me!
Another fun exhibit is the Bees. You can hear the bees buzzing and working. Also if you look on the right side of the picture you can see a Bee Counter. That counter is counting how many bees went outside for the day so far. How fun! I like that Jude gets to explore something like the cycle of bees and how hard those bees work!
More hands on! Jude and Grandma petting the Sea Stars.
What a fun day with Grandma. Looks like everyone had a great time.
Time to check out the butterflies. This area is full of beautiful butterflies flying all around you. Teagan liked looking at them but once they started flying I guess she was pointing at them and saying NO, NO, NO!
Amazing creatures. It is fun to see them up close when you visit the Butterfly Pavilion.
Time to get the energy out! Teagan’s favorite part about The Butterfly Pavilion is this play area.
Great memories made and lots of new information learned. When I got home from work Jude talked my ear off about the bees and Rosie.
The Butterfly Pavilion is a great place to spend an afternoon. We hope to go back soon…MAYBE I will hold Rosie…
Would you hold Rosie?
