7 Layer Pea Salad Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce torn up in bite size pieces
- 3 Hard boiled eggs sliced
- 1 small bag frozen peas
- 1 medium red onion diced
- 3 celery stalks diced
- 1 green bell pepper diced
- 1/2 cup bacon crumbled
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3 cups Miracle Whip or Mayo
- 2 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 4 TBSP Sugar
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions

Prepare all veggies as directed.

Using a trifle bowl/dish or a deep serving bowl create layers with the ingredients.

Begin the layers with the torn up iceberg lettuce.

Top lettuce with sliced eggs and some salt and pepper.

Top eggs with frozen peas.

Top peas with onion.

Top onion with celery.

Top celery with the green pepper.

Top green pepper with the MIRACLE WHIP mixture. Completely cover the veggies with this mixture. Using a wooden spoon, smooth out the mixture.

Top MIRACLE WHIP mixture with bacon.

Top bacon with shredded cheddar cheese.

Cover dish with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate the salad for at least 8 hours.

Once refrigerated for at least 8 hours it is ready to enjoy! Yum!

My mother in law makes a version of this Salas for Thanksgiving. I'm not a fan of celery so I would skip that ingredient. Everything else sounds good.
