It is hard to believe that in just 4 months we will have a 5 year old in our house!  Yes, its true!!  Usually Jude tells us the day after his birthday what theme he will have for his next birthday but this year it took until just a few weeks ago for him to come up with his theme.

Spiderman!!

I am excited for this theme!  So many great ideas are coming to mind and I know that Jude will love having a superhero party too.  Our plan is to do a backyard swim party like we always do with Jude.  It is easy, fun and we can literally invite the whole neighborhood for a fun lunch and play-date.

Here are some of the ideas I have found so far.

The Cake:

How cool is this?  I know that my awesome cake creator and friend will knock a Spiderman out of the park, she always does!  I really like this one because it isn’t too over the top but the colors are incorporated.

The Decorations:

Decorations are a huge part to the birthday parties I create.  I really would like to try to make a great Spiderman door wreath to invite our guests in to the party.  I will find some great Spiderman specific decorations but really want to focus on the Red, Blue and White colors that Spiderman is known for.

The Shirt:

It is a tradition for the kids to get a birthday shirt with their name and theme.  Jude saw this one when I was browsing pinterest and he loves it!  He cannot wait to wear it.

The Invite:

Invitations usually inspire my whole party.  I cannot decide between these two designs.  I love the photo option because it allows us to share a photo of Jude with all of our guests but the the comic book design is so fun too!  Hopefully we can make a decision on these soon!

The Fun:

Yes, a pinata – Jude has been asked for one of these at his birthday parties for the last couple of years.  I think this year we will surprise him with this activity.  I THINK I might try to create our own Spiderman Pinata; stay tuned.

Well, the parents might kill us but these spiderweb shooters (silly string) will be one of the guest gifts we give!!  SO CUTE!!!

How fun would it be to have a bunch of spidermen running around our yard?  These Spiderman masks are great priced and perfect for some make believe fun.

We always do a fun backyard swimming party so I think Jude’s summer trunks need to be these swim trunks so he is themed!!  Love them!

The Food:

I know for sure I will be making these awesome Spiderman strawberries.  I am not sure if I will do any other themed food for the party but these are a must do!  We usually do easy food for this party due to us inviting a lot of people.  Last year the Taco Bar was a hit – I am open to any food suggestions!  Help us out!

Oh and oriental trading company is really going to make our tableware easy!  Check those plates out!!

Keep up with my Spiderman Party pinning while I keep planning!
