Our first experience with our new family fun phone, the new Alcatel Fierce 2, was a special Teddy Bear Picnic with music, a craft and a fun lunch. The Walmart Family Mobile service is only $29.88/month(for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 500MB of 4G LTE data! Now that is a deal! Not only are we able to really budget for our cell phone but we are able to enjoy data!! I really love that I can put on my favorite playlist from one of my apps and have the kids enjoy some kid friendly tunes while we are outside. Such a great way to spend my data!
Before we headed outside for our Teddy Bear Picnic I did a fun craft with Jude. Disclaimer, my idea was that I would have the kids take their Paper Plate Teddy Bear craft outside with us for our picnic but Teagan had NO interest in this craft and it was super windy the day of our picnic so these bears would have gone for a flight if we took them outside. This craft is really simple and fun for kids at preschool and kindergarten age.
Paper Plate Teddy Bear Craft
To achieve these cute Paper Plate Teddy Bear Craft you will need 3 paper plates per bear, googly eyes, crayon, glue, 2 pom poms, and brads.
First, you will cut a small head out of one of the paper plates – have your child glue the eyes and pom pom nose on the plate and also add a mouth with the crayon. With the left over plate cut out 2 small ears for the head, have your child glue the ears on the head.
Next, you will draw 4 legs on paper plates, if your child can safely use scissors have him cut out the legs.
Using the brads secure the 4 legs to a new paper plate, not a specific way to do this.
Glue the head to the body of the bear. Let dry and have fun with your Teddy Bear!!
Teagan absolutely loved sitting outside in the backyard to eat her lunch and listen to her princess music. It was so cute to see her face light up when I set her Teddy Bear Sandwich on the table. She felt so special!! Its these little moments that I am so thankful for, the fun music from our new Walmart Family Mobile phone made the experience even better!
To make these adorable Teddy Bear Sandwiches you will need bread, Peanut Butter, banana slices and blueberries. Simply spread the peanut butter on the bread slice evenly. Place 2 banana slices on the corners of the bread for the bear ears. Next, create eyes for the bear with blueberries. The nose will need one banana slice with a dollop of peanut butter on it so the blueberry can be secure on the banana slice. Such a fun way to bring the whole theme of the Teddy Bear to your Teddy Bear Picnic but also create a healthy lunch option for your kiddos!
We decided to use a music streaming app to get our Teddy Bear Picnic off to a great start. It was fun to have the kids get to listen to some new songs and find some that they really love to belt out – sorry neighbors! During this picnic I knew that we had made a great choice when shopping for a new family phone.
When I asked the kids if we should do this more often, Jude raised his hand and screamed “ME!!” Memories made, fun craft created, yummy lunch enjoyed and music sung – successful Teddy Bear Picnic if you ask me!!

LOL- we are beyond Teddy Bear Picnic over here, so I can't think of any songs. Love the craft, sandwich and the phone plan! I need to stop by and see what kind of service my area has!
looks like the kids enjoyed their teddy bear picnic. I will have to use these ideas for my preschool after school class
AWW!! What a cute idea, your little ones are adorable! I love the idea of the teddy bear plates and the sandwiches, will have to pass this on to my friend (she will have to use apple butter since her daughter is allergic to peanuts…but the idea still works)
Such a cute idea! I love the sandwich! I am totally doing that.
What a cool way to have a fun picnic. As for a song I think "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift would be a fun one.
I love the Teddy Bear craft ideas! Those sandwiches are just so fun!
Love the Teddy Bear ideas! I know my daughter would have so much fun putting together her own Teddy Bear sandwich! We'd definitely have some tunes in the background too…lately probably something from the latest KidzBop!
Oh! This is lovely! I'm trying to get my son to like sandwiches. Maybe this will work!
Of course we're going to have to do the Teddy paper plate. We'll probably do the peanut butter teddy too. 😉
