When Teagan told me that she wanted an Ariel birthday party I was so excited to start planning. I knew exactly what colors and decorations I wanted to incorporate to her special day and I am so pleased with the way everything turned out.
Our pretty little Mermaid on her special day in a brand new Ariel inspired tutu dress. She loved this dress and wanted to wear it for the whole day.
For this birthday party we hosted her friends in the basement of her school. It was the perfect space once again for the kids to run and play but also have some space for the adults to sit and have conversations. Instead of having to plan out crafts and activities we decided to really push this party to the top by inviting The Little Mermaid to hang out with Teagan on her birthday!
The Denver based company called Princess Ever After is simply amazing. Last year we were introduced to this company at a friends birthday party and I was set on making sure we used Princess Ever After at some point. Princess Ever After is a company that sends out beautiful and very talented ladies dressed up as our favorite characters. Seriously, they look amazing and their acting and singing is beyond what you would expect.
Ariel sang a few songs, played games, crowned Teagan, and did face painting for every child. It was the perfect inside party! All of the adults were blown away by her costume but especially by her voice – Sarah can sing so beautifully. Hearing the kids sing along with her was so precious.
Teagan was so happy to meet Ariel. She immediately ran up to her and gave her a hug and introduced her friends. It was adorable.
Just like every year my good friend knocked the cake out of the park. We love our “cake lady” Julie! A perfect cake for a Little Mermaid party! Plus it was sooo yummy – as usual.
Happy birthday little lady! Part of the Princess Ever After package was that they would sing happy birthday to Teagan. It was perfect. Teagan loved having some princess friends at her party.
Alice from Wonderland came to help Ariel too. Alice played with the kids and sang as well. Make sure you check out Princess Ever After, they have so many characters to choose from!
I love making the party food match the theme of the party. This year was fun!
We had green coral (grapes), fish and chips (goldfish and chips), Seaweed wraps (meat and cheese wraps), Little Mermaid popcorn, sea cucumbers and crab legs (cucumbers and carrot sticks), sea shell pasta salad (pasta salad), sea water (blue jello) and shark bait (gummy sharks). All of these foods were super easy to make and prepare on a busy day and totally kid friendly.
This might have been my favorite part of the food table! I had to go fancy and pick up the silver forks! Ha!
For an easy guest gift we decided to give large bubble wands with a thank you for each kid. All of the kids were so excited!
We had such a great time at this party. I also created some printable table tents for the food table that you can download if you have a Little Mermaid Party in the works.
What birthday party themes are you working on for your kids this year?
