Last week I share a spooky but not too spooky treat that my kids loved, Mummy Rice Krispie Treats and today I sharing another fun treat that kids will get a kick out of for this time of the year. Like I said last week, we cannot have anything too spooky in our house this time of the year because both Jude and Teagan are very sensitive so I have been trying to find other ways to incorporate our favorite time of the year in our household.
Candy Corn Twinkies
Ingredients:
Twinkies
Yellow Melting Chocolate
Orange Melting Chocolate
Directions:
1. Unwrap the Twinkies and place on a piece of parchment paper.
2. Place a candy stick into the bottom of the Twinkies.
3. Melt the Yellow Melting Chocolate and carefully paint the bottom of the Twinkies with yellow making sure to keep it even to allow for two additional colors. Place on parchment paper.
4. Melt the Orange Melting Chocolate and carefully paint the middle of the Twinkies with orange making sure to keep it even to allow for one additional color. Place on parchment paper.
5. Melt the White Melting Chocolate and carefully paint the top of the Twinkie with white making sure to cover the rest of the Twinkie. Place on parchment paper.
6. Place parchment paper and Twinkies on a plate and refrigerate the Twinkies for 30 minutes.
7. Once the chocolate is hardened you can enjoy the Candy Corn Twinkies or place in a sealed container for a few days.
While this recipe was a bit messy, I really love the way it turned out. What a special sweet treat for Halloween!! If you want to do these in a big batch it will take a while to paint the Twinkies 3 times but it will be worth it! My kids loved these treats and I think we might make them for their classrooms!

When we were kids, our parents did not prepare any Halloween treats so I'm surprised that there's a lot of creative decorations and designs nowadays. The rice krispie looks especially cute! Candy corn twinkies' colors are very attractive.
Looking good love to try this
