I have shared so many reasons why we love living in Colorado but today I am sharing some of the best 4th of July events in Colorado. We are so lucky to have such a great state that is not only full of great travel spots but we also have amazing holiday events – especially for 4th of July. If you are in the area, start your planning for the 4th of July weekend today!
Fireworks at Elitch Gardens Theme Park
WHEN: July 4th at dusk
WHERE: Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park
Spend the day riding the roller coasters and the water slides at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, Denver’s downtown amusement park, then watch a brilliant fireworks display light up the night sky, starting at dusk.
Fireworks at Folsom Field
WHEN: July 4 (doors open at 8pm; fireworks begin at dark, usually around 9:30pm or so)
WHERE: University of Colorado Boulder
Locals flock to the University of Colorado’s football stadium, Folsom Field, to take part in stadium-wide sing-along, listen to live music by Funkiphino and School of Rock, see Ralphie — the real buffalo that is CU’s mascot — and of course, watch the live fireworks show. The fireworks start at dark, usually around 9:30pm.
Four Mile Historic Park’s Old Fashioned July 4th Celebration
WHEN: July 4th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m
WHERE: 715 S. Forest St., Denver
Delight in old-fashioned games, historic demonstrations, live music, horse-drawn wagon rides and more. Food and drink will be available for purchase from food trucks and a beer garden. Bring a blanket and stay to watch the Glendale fireworks show. FREE entry.
Glendale Fireworks Display
WHEN: July 2nd at dusk
WHERE: Glendale area – Denver
One of the largest and oldest in Denver. Starts at dusk (about 9 p.m.) Prime viewing spots at 600 and 650 Cherry Street, along Exposition Dr. (between S. Cherry & Four Mile House), north of Virginia Avenue, south of Cherry Creek Drive and west of Colorado Blvd.
Red, White & You
WHEN: July 3rd at 5-10pm
WHERE: Clement Park, 7306 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton, CO 80123
Enjoy a variety of food concessions, beer & wine garden by The Foothills Foundation, community exhibitor booths, kids’ bounce houses (ticketed entry), FREE Entertainment: featuring The Nacho Me and Fireworks at dusk.
4th of July Festival & Fireworks
WHEN: July 4th starting at 3:00pm
WHERE: Cornerstone and Belleview Parks
The City of Englewood, along with the cities of Littleton and Sheridan, South Suburban Parks & Recreation District and Arapahoe County present the 2018 4th of July Festival and Fireworks on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Cornerstone and Belleview Parks! Join us at 3 p.m. for kids’ activities, food trucks, live music and fireworks!
Evergreen Music Festival
WHEN: July 4th from 10am to 7:30pm
WHERE: Buchanan Park, 32003 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen, CO 80439
14 performing groups including FACE Vocal Band and soul band The Burroughs! In addition to the performing artists on Independence Stage, the Evergreen Scene stage will feature some of Evergreen’s most popular bands. Honoring military personnel, the festival includes free children’s activities and a British car shine & show!
Fourth of July Golden Lions Park Festival
WHEN: July 4th 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
WHERE: Lions Park 1300 10th Street, Golden, CO 80401
Activities starting at noon include free rides for the kids, face painting, music provided by several bands throughout the day, and a large fireworks display in the evening. The celebration is designed to be a day for families, friends, and neighbors to get together at the beautiful park on 10th Street to picnic or purchase food and drink and enjoy all the festivities.
Northglenn 4th of July Festival
WHEN: July 4 ALL DAY – 7:00am to 10:00pm
WHERE: E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park, 11800 Community Center Drive
Celebrate America’s birthday at the July 4th Festival in EB Rains Jr. Memorial Park in the City of Northglenn. Some call the event Denver’s largest family picnic as families and friends bring out their blankets and picnic baskets to get a great seat for the annual fireworks program.
Green Valley Ranch – Firework Spectacular
WHEN: July 4 beginning at 6:00pm
WHERE: GVR Golf Course
FREE live music, food and drinks, kids zone and firework finale presented by Oakwood Homes!
Park Hill 4th of July Parade
WHEN: July 4th at 1:30pm
WHERE: Park Hill is bordered by Colorado Blvd. to the west, Colfax Ave. to the south, Quebec St. to the east and I-70 to the north. You can approach the parade route from any of these directions.
The parade is held in northeast Denver’s historic Park Hill neighborhood, one of the city’s largest, oldest and most diverse areas.
4th of July in Thornton
WHEN: July 4th starting at 4PM
WHERE: Carpenter Park Fields 108th Avenue & Colorado Blvd.
Beer Gardens and Food Vendors, live music, and a parachute drop to start the evening firework show!
