This time of the year I find that one day I am wearing summer clothes and the next day I am searching for my winter outfits in the back of my closet.  This is where Stitch Fix really comes in handy.  For my 14th Stitch Fix I asked for a mix of items – summer and fall.  The summer items were requested for my trip to Turks & Caicos for the Social Media on the Sand conference and the fall items are for those days here in Colorado that the weather decides to act like the correct season!

Once again I made sure to share my fix on my Instastories and get your opinions by doing a poll for every item I got from this fix.  It is so fun to see everyone’s votes on the items.  It really does help me decide what to send back and keep from my fixes.  Fix days are my favorite! Ready to see what surprises I got in my 14th Stitch Fix?

Transitional Season – Plus Size Stitch Fix

Item 1 – Papermoon Cordova V-Neck Knit Top

This knit top was so comfortable and stretchy.  It fit pretty well but I felt like it was a bit too clingy around my stomach.  An area I am not in love with right now.  The pattern was a bit different than what I am used too and kind of played with my eyes a little.  This shirt was a a size 3x and retailed at $38.00.

Verdict – SENT BACK!

Item 2 –  Collective Concepts Kailey Dress

This faux wrap dress is so cute!  I love the length and the sleeves.  I love the way wrap dresses look on me but hate having to worry about wrapping them correctly.  Thankfully this dress does it for you.  The bright blue is beautiful and the pattern is fun.  This dress was a size 3x and retailed at $74.00.  A bit pricey but I couldn’t send it back!

Verdict – KEPT!

Item 3 – Gilli Harper Knit Maxi Dress

I love maxi dresses and I was super excited to see this one in my fix in hopes of taking it on our beach trip.  The navy blue was a great color but this dress was so heavy and super tight around the waist.  I did like the neckline and thought it was very well made.  This dress was a size 3x and retailed at $78.00 which was a great price for a maxi dress.

Verdict – SENT BACK!

Item 4 – Laila Jayde – Placer Knit Poncho

Fall means boot weather and with boots you have to find the best tops to go with your skinny jeans and leggings.  This black knit poncho is PERFECT!   Now, I would not really call this a poncho because you do not have to wear a shirt under it.  It is a full coverage top with sleeves that look like a poncho.  I love wearing black because it is slimming and can be dressed up or down easily.  This top is a size 2x and retails at $58.00.

Verdict – KEPT!

Item 5 – Tolani Deitra V-Neck Tunic

I love tunics and really wanted to love this one.  The print and colors are beautiful and way different than anything I have ever bought.  While my stylist said this ran large I wish I would have had a 3x rather than the 2x that was sent as it did not fall around my butt and hips like I would have liked it too since it was a tunic.  This tunic was also very pricey so I struggled with that as well.  Retails at $98.00!

Verdict – SENT BACK!

Well there you have it.  Stitch Fix number 14 in the books!  Another successful and fun fix!

Here are a few tips I believe that might be helpful when trying Stitch Fix for the first time.

MY TIPS WHEN SUBSCRIBING TO STITCH FIX:

  • Be honest on your profile – list your correct numbers even if it is hard to type those numbers out!
  • Do not look at the price card until you try on your items.
  • Ask for time capsule pieces – items that can be used from season to season.
  • Think outside the box – try something new!
  • Request for special events – need a dress for a wedding next month, ask for one!
  • Update your price ranges as your budget changes.
  • Share your referral link – people will sign up and you will get a credit! Basically that means free clothes for you!! Woohoo!
