Getting Into That Holiday Spirit
It is that time of the year! The hustle and bustle has begun. The tree is decorated, Christmas music is on the radio and the thoughts of gifts under the Christmas tree is running through the kiddo’s heads. What I love most about this holiday season is traditions. I do not have to tell you that holiday traditions are looking different for us…clearly, they are different for everyone. Thank you 2020!! But, that doesn’t mean you cannot add new traditions or find ways to continue your traditions in a modified way.
We were able to visit with Santa over the weekend. Honestly, it was so refreshing to do something “normal”. Yes, we were wearing masks and the kids didn’t get to sit next to Santa but that magic that we all love to see in children’s eyes was burning!! LOVE IT! While Jude and Teagan were able to “chat” with Santa, it was hard to do 6 feet away and masked up. So…in order to make sure the kids feel like their messages were heard, I decided to create a cute but simple Santa letter printable and a wish list printable.
Christmas Wish List & Letter To Santa PRINTABLE
Like I said, these are super simple printables but I know that after our visit the kids were wondering if Santa really heard their wishes so I figured that these would be the perfect way to make sure their wishes were heard. We sat down after our visit with Santa and filled in our printables. It was fun to see what the kids came up with for their Santa letters and what was on their wish lists too.
Drop Santa’s Letter Off
Since I didn’t think to do this prior to our visit with Santa, we will have to find another fun Santa mailbox to drop their Santa letters off at soon. So, if you are planning to do a visit to a local shopping center, make sure you have your kids fill out their Santa Letter first and take it with you. Maybe your shopping center will have an adorable Santa Mailbox like ours did. Now I know what to plan for next year!
2020 Santa Photograph
Even though this picture if far from traditional, I am so happy that the kids got to visit with Santa. This simple 10 minute visit seems to keep the magic of Santa alive – even for Jude who is 10 this year. And as a mom, I love it. It brings me joy to see the kids light up at the idea of Santa and the magic he brings and creates.
