Orange Oatmeal Muffins

These delicious fresh orange oatmeal muffins are the perfect healthy breakfast recipe.  Baked with whole wheat flour, oats, and topped with fresh orange slices.

  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup Armour Premium All-Natural Lard softened
  • 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 zest of one large orange
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain Greek Yogurt
  • Fresh orange triangles optional


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and prepare muffin tins with liners.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together sugar, egg, orange juice, Armour Premium All-Natural Lard, and vanilla.

  3. Add flour, oats, baking powder, orange zest and salt and stir to combine.

  4. Once combined add the Greek Yogurt and mix well.

  5. Carefully fill each liner with about 1/4 cup of batter.

  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-22 minutes.

  7. Enjoy warm!

Recipe Notes

**These muffins do freeze well.  Keep in a freezer friendly container for optimal freshness.
