Chocolate and cherry are the perfect flavor combination. This Chocolate Cherry Upside Down Cake is flavorful, decedent and a fun dessert to add to your meal plan.
Prepare box cake mix as directed on box in a medium mixing bowl.
Prepare a 9x13 dish with cooking spray. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Pour cherry pie filling into prepared baking dish and spread out cherries evenly on the bottom of the dish.
Carefully pour prepared cake mix over the cherry pie filling and spread out cake mix evenly.
Bake cake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
Remove cake from oven and slice in square pieces, when serving cake, flip the piece of cake upside down to have the cherry pie filling on top of the baked cake.
Serve warm, topped with whipped cream or ice cream! ENJOY!!
