Two for the Dough
By Janet Evanovich
(Stephanie Plum Series #2)

In January I sent a reading goal with Goodreads to read 13 books in 2013.  It was a big goal for me…reading is something that I love doing but with 2 kids it has gotten harder to do.

I am pleased to be reviewing with you my 5th book I have read in 2013!!  YAY me!

My Review:
Once you read this book the idea of finding severed legs and penis’ in your home wouldn’t haunt you at all.  Instead you would laugh and feel like Stephanie Plum – the worst Bounty Hunter around.
Book #2 of the Stephanie Plum series delivered just like the first book.  Janet’s character choices are perfect.  The relationships that are building book by book are becoming tangled and lovely to read about.
A major change in Joe Morelli and Stephanie’s relationship will have you wanting more!  I found myself singing “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid while reading parts of this book.
Grandma Mazur is perfect.  She steps up as Stephaine’s side kick in her mind, when in reality she is giving Stephanie more to deal with as she muddles through her Bounty Hunting job.
Once I finished this book I quickly started #3!  Janet Evanovich is a fantastic writer and I cannot wait to see the relationships evolve even more and too see what sort of dog poo Stephanie finds herself in next??

My Recommendations:
This book along with book #1 of the Stephanie Plum Series is what I would consider great for mature audiences.  This book made me laugh, especially at the highly sexual nature of Joe and Stephanie’s work relationship.  They both know they radiate “TAKE ME NOW” to one another.  This series isn’t something I would consider Chic Lit but it is great light reading.

My Rating:

I give this book a rating of 4.5 out of 5 cupcakes.
A must read!
