If you are looking for the perfect side dish to take to your holiday gathering or you are just feeling like you need a veggie dish for dinner tonight I urge you to add this delicious and super easy creamed corn recipe to your meal plan.
I was first introduced to this creamy veggie treat over 15 years ago. Ever since then, we have been adding it to our holiday menu. This is a recipe from a restaurant called Gulliver’s, they have closed in Colorado but it has been a very loved recipe since a very special person asked the waiter for the recipe while dining at Gulliver’s one afternoon.
Gulliver’s Creamed Corn
Ingredients:
2 pkgs (20 ounces) frozen kernel corn
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp salt
6 TBSP sugar
1 tsp pepper
2 TBSP butter, melted
2 TBSP flour
Directions:
1. Combine the first 6 ingredients into a large sauce pan. (Everything but the butter and flour).
2. Bring mixture to a boil but stir mixture occasionally to prevent scorching and burning of the cream.
3. Simmer for 5 minutes.
4. While simmering, combine the butter (melted) and flour in a small bowl.
5. Add butter mixture to the sauce pan and mix in until completely combined.
6. Remove from heat and serve HOT! Enjoy!!

From start to finish this dish can be made in 20 minutes. It is so good! You will be craving this…I promise! Do yourself a favor and double the recipe if you are on veggie duty this holiday season.
Yum, this looks amazing! My favorite holiday side dish is sweet potato casserole!
Thanks for sharing your delicious recipe! Creamed corn is one of my favorite side dishes at Christmas!
We recently hosted our bible study group in our home, and a someone brought this as a side dish. I was instantly in love with it! I keep forgetting to ask her for the recipe, but now I'll just use yours!
This has brought back so many memories. My Grandmother used to make me creamed corn all the time. I just realized I probably haven't had it since I was little. This recipe may just be a part of our holiday – I think it's time I had some and introduced it to my Kiddies as well. Thanks for sharing!
I have been looking to swap out our corn casserole dish that is served at every Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner; this seems like the perfect alternate! The pictures alone have my mouth watering, picturing it next to a thick slice of Christmas ham! Thank you for sharing your recipe, it's going on the menu this year! I love creamed corn. My hubby refuses to eat it. I am so trying your recipe once we get past the cold snap. I'm down now with a sinus infection.

We love creamed corn! It is one of my families favorites for Thanksgiving. I am going to give this recipe a try and sub almond flour and hopes to make it gluten free. Thanks for sharing on of your favorites with us!
Oh, how I enjoy creamed corn. I never gave much thought to making my own though. We always buy it out of a can. This looks so much tastier, so I'm going to give it a try.
That looks really good. Thanks for the recipe. I’m gonna have to make it sometime soon.
Some recipes say to defrost corn. Does that make any difference?
