We love milk in our house, we serve it at every meal!  Delicious.  Over the last year or so I have found a new love for TruMoo Milk for a couple of reasons.  The first reason – it is delicious!  The second reason – TruMoo has no artificial growth hormones, no high fructose corn syrup and is fresh from your trusted dairy.  The third reason – all of the creative flavors that TruMoo offers for a little fun!  Right now, you can pick up the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow limited edition flavor – it is quite a treat!!  Both of my kids and me LOVE chocolate milk; I drank at least 1 gallon of TruMoo chocolate milk a week when I was pregnant with both kids so maybe that is why they love it too?!

After I tasted the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk I instantly knew I had to try this milk in a recipe.  This is more than a chocolate milk, the marshmallow is so yummy in it.  After a lot of thought I figured out what I needed to make.  S’mores!!  Well, not actual s’mores but an Easy S’mores Poke Cake.  Key word folks – EASY!
This week was the perfect week to bake this too – hello snow days!!  Sure snow days are fun but made that cabin fever sets in quick with two crazy kiddos running the house.   I told Jude and Teagan about this special dessert I was going to make them using their Chocolate Marshmallow Milk and they were so excited.  We got the house nice and cozy with the oven on and a fun movie playing and we baked.  It let me feel not as stressed and the kids loved this treat.

Ingredients:

1 box of chocolate cake mix and ingredients listed on back of box to make cake
1 cup TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk
1 cup hot fudge topping
1 cup marshmallow fluff
1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
8oz Cool Whip, thawed
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup mini marshmallows
1/2 cup crushed graham crackers

Directions:

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 9×13 pan.
2.  Mix cake mix as directed on back of box.  Bake cake as directed on box.

3.  Once the cake is baked, let cool completely.
4.  Once cake is cooled, using an end of a spoon or spatula poke about 35 holes in the cake.
5.  Pour 1 cup TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow Milk over the cake evenly, the milk will begin to soak into the cake.
6.  Combine the hot fudge, marshmallow fluff and 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers in a medium microwave safe bowl.  Heat in microwave for 30 seconds.  Mix ingredients well, making a nice chocolate topping.
7.  Evenly spread the topping onto the cake.
8.  Next, spread the Cool Whip evenly on the cake.
9.  Decorate the poke cake like a S’more by adding 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate chips to the Cool Whip topping.

This cake is amazing.  The addition of the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk makes the cake so moist and gives it an extra boost of marshmallow and chocolate flavor!  Delicious!  Like I said before, it is super easy to make too.  This is why I love poke cake recipes.  They turn out so decedent that it fools the people you serve it too.  When they taste this treat they probably think you spent hours at the stove!  WRONG!!
The kids (and hubby) loved this treat.  S’mores usually take me to the mountains so it was the perfect snow day baking treat for us.  There is something perfect about beating cabin fever with a S’more cake!!  Yum Yum!
I am so thankful for the TruMoo milk brand.  Parenting is hard, there I said it – it is full of hard decisions and I love knowing that I can pick up TruMoo products with confidence that I am providing my family with nutrition they need from the milk I pour in their cups at meals or add to my recipes. TruMoo knows not every decision, as a parent is easy. That’s why there’s TruMoo. It’s delicious and nutritious so everyone wins!  Boom!!
