As you know we went to Beaches Resorts Turks & Caicos last month and while this was the second time we had been to this resort it was the first time we brought the kids with us. Today I am excited to share some great reasons why you should use the Kids Camp at Beaches Resorts Turks & Caicos when enjoying your family vacation in paradise.
What is Kids Camp at Beaches Resorts?
At Beaches, they give kids extra attention with tailor-made fun just for them, offering age-appropriate activities for kids of all ages, from tots to teens. The kids are always supervised, and kids vacations are all-included. With a staff that’s so caring, it’ll feel like your kids are in the loving hands of a family member who just wants to spoil them.
The Kids Camp staffers at Beaches Resorts are members of the International Nanny Association, America’s oldest and largest in-home child care association. To become accredited, each nanny must meet the minimum requirement of 2,000 hours of child-care services. Additionally, our nannies have been trained in safety, nutrition and child development.
Beaches Resorts is proud to be the first resort company in the world to complete the rigorous International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) training and Autism Certification! Our Kids Camps and our team members are proud to offer families with children with autism and other special needs specialized service, engaging activities and custom dining options so that all families may enjoy a memorable, award-winning Beaches Luxury Included® experience.
I have to be honest, when we decided we were bringing Jude and Teagan along for the trip this year I was a little concerned about the Kids Camp option. Being in the careers that Jeremy and I are in we find that we are totally jaded and overly protective when it comes to childcare. So the ideas of leaving our kids with people we have never met in a different country gave me a bit of anxiety. BUT after talking to many friends that have used the Beaches Resorts Kids Camp multiple times we knew that the kids would not only be safe but they would have the time of their lives! And guess what…IT WAS AMAZING!!
5 Reasons Kids Love Kids Camp
1. Fun Activities Daily
The Kids Camp is broken into different age groups: Infants, Toddlers, 5-7 year olds, 8-10 year olds, pre-teens and teens. This meant that Jude and Teagan were in different groups, which was great. It allowed them to enjoy some time apart too. For each age group there was a daily schedule. The resort gives you a weekly schedule of what is happening at Kids Camp which was great for us because we would prepare them for what they would be doing when they visited Kids Camp.
The activities range from pool play, beach visits, games and also crafts. I felt like the age groups were well done and the activities planned were age appropriate as well. Both Jude and Teagan loved the pool games and when they got to go to the waterpark with the group. Both of the times we dropped them off at camp they were so bummed when we came back to pick them up!! I loved seeing that they had a great time.
2. Great Staff
All of the staff at the camp are amazing. First of all they are all just kind people ready to have some fun with the kids but they are also well trained. Honestly, I do not know how they do it! They are dealing with all types of kids, different backgrounds and personalities and they do it with a smile on their face. What was great was after the first visit at Kids Camp the staff remembered both Jude and Teagan BY NAME! We saw the group at a BBQ later in the week and the staff waved and said hello to them both. This made the kids feel so special.
After the kids last visit at the camp we had to go around to the staff and say thank you and “goodbye”. Jude and Teagan were kind of emotional about this so it was obvious that they felt safe and had a great time when at the Kids Camp.
Fun story: Our friends from When Tara Met Blog have brought their twin boys to the resort two times with years in between those visits and the staff REMEMBERED THE BOYS! Guys! Seriously, these folks take the time to learn the kids and families and then retain that relationship over years.
3. Meet New Friends
I know our situation was a little different because we were at the resort with about 100 other blogger families but I would think that if we were at the resort on just a normal visit the kids would find new friends to hang out with and see around the resort. It was so much fun to pick up the kids from camp and hear their stories about who they played with and met.
Jude was so excited to have friends in different states and has been sharing his friend’s names and where they live with his friends here in Colorado. Even when they were not in Kids Camp they would find kids that they had played with in camp and would play with them at the beach or in the pools. The Kids Camp allows kids to be kids and that includes meeting new friends!
4. Happy Parents
I have to tell you, going to Beaches Resorts Turks & Caicos with kids is a totally different experience than when we went without kids BUT the Kids Camp gave us the chance to enjoy some kid free snorkeling and adults only dinner at the few 16+ dining spots on the resorts. Family vacations are all about enjoying family and creating memories but let’s be honest. Those kids are a handful sometimes and those few kid free moments helped us feel more relaxed and rejuvenated on our vacation too.
The goal of Beaches Resorts is to have an amazing vacation for the whole family. Having the Kids Camp option helps with this goal because parents can take the opportunity to enjoy a date night in a beautiful beach setting but then also enjoy a ton of family time with the kids!
5. A Kid Vacation
We always talk about adults needing a vacation but honestly, kids need them too. Vacations give kids a break from the daily grind and the chance to experience something new. The Kids Camp at Beaches Resorts Turks & Caicos brings the fun to this vacation. Sure the kids would love jumping into the pools, surfing at the waterpark and running into the beach water with you but it is a lot more fun with more kids their age.
Kids are not going to want to sit around and read a book on the beach like mom so why not send them to Kids Camp so they can enjoy an iguana hunt with their new buddies? Kids Camp takes the planning out of vacation – it allows kids to play and have fun all under the careful eye of some amazing staff.
