Baby it is cold outside and during this season of cold my family loves to enjoy food that warms them up from the inside. This super easy apple crumble recipe is the perfect cold weather dessert and can easily be made even on those crazy busy week nights!
Easy Apple Crumble Recipe
Ingredients:
4-5 medium apples (of your choice) sliced
4 TBSP sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Prepare the filling by slicing the apples and putting them into a baking pan. I used a 8×8 pan.
3. Sprinkling cinnamon and sugar over the sliced apples making sure to cover each apple.
4. In a medium bowl combine the oats, flour and brown sugar to start the crumble topping.
5. Once the dry ingredients are completely combined and add the melted butter. Stir until all is moistened.
6. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the apple filling.
7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the apples are soft and the filling is bubbling. ENJOY!
Looks amazing right? I use this cold weather dessert often because it is a way to get the kids to enjoy a little extra fruit after dinner and also because it really is a simple recipe. I get it all ready to bake and put it in the oven as we sit down to dinner. By the time our meal is finished and dishes are cleared dessert is ready to enjoy! YUM!! Tip – you can switch up this flavor by adding different types of apples to the crumble. I have also added cranberries, strawberries and raspberries to add some extra fruit and flavor combos. Endless possibilities! YUM!
