Fall is my favorite season of the year for many reasons but one of those reasons is because it is Pumpkin Patch time!! We have gone to the pumpkin patch every year since Jude was born. It is always such a fun time and we have great memories of exploring the patch to find those perfect pumpkins. As the kids get older I am always trying to find ways to have them be more engaged on outings like this and by adding some simple activities I have found that they enjoy their time more.

As you begin making your fall family activity plans make sure you add a local Pumpkin Patch to your list. If you happen to be in Colorado I put together a large list of pumpkin patches around Denver that are great options for you to visit.
To add a little fun to our visit I decided that printing off this fun and free Pumpkin I-Spy game would be a hit with the kids. I don’t know about you but our kids love playing I-Spy in the car so why not bring it out to the patch?! I think this is a great way to get the kids more involved in the experience of being at the pumpkin patch as it makes them search for certain items.

Once you print off the game you can laminate it to make it more sturdy and use a dry erase marker during your time at the pumpkin patch. This also means that this can be reused at a second pumpkin patch if you decide to go to more than one – or are we the only ones that do that?! HA!
Fall Where Are You?
Hard to believe we are already thinking about Halloween costumes, Halloween treats and fall traditions! I am really excited for fall to finally show its face around here, currently in the 90’s and not feeling like fall at all. Maybe all of this talk about pumpkin patches and pumpkin spice will get the weather focused on the next season.
