Peter Pan Flies Back to Denver with Colorado Ballet
When I first saw that Peter Pan was coming to Colorado Ballet I knew that this had to be a show that I took both Jude and Teagan to. Teagan has attended a number of ballets with me but this would be the first that Jude has experienced but I knew it was a perfect first ballet for him. The story line of Peter Pan has always been one that has been full of magic. Fairies, sword fights, and imagination! A perfect tale for all ages. We were lucky enough to attend the opening show and it was perfection. The excitement through out the theater was contagious as the lights dimmed.
About Peter Pan
Peter Pan will take audiences on a high-flying adventure to Neverland where Peter Pan, Wendy, John and Michael experience pirates, Lost Boys, Captain Hook, an infamous crocodile and a bit of pixie dust as this brilliant story unfolds. With choreography by Michael Pink and music by Philip Feeney, this ballet features the same artistic duo that created the acclaimed ballet Dracula, which Colorado audiences will recall from sold-out performances in fall of 2017.

Our Review of Peter Pan at Colorado Ballet
I was a bit worried that the kids wouldn’t last through the whole ballet due to it being a late night but they were hooked from beginning to end and I was too! For those that are planning a trip to see Peter Pan with Colorado Ballet it is important to know that this performance has two intermissions. The performance was almost 3 hours including the intermissions.
I really have nothing but great things to say about our experience. I loved looking at Jude and Teagan through out the show and seeing their eyes filled with anticipation and tons of smiles. And in true Peter Pan and Tinkerbell silliness we even had a few belly laughs. As we walked into the Colorado Ballet the first security guard we saw pulled Teagan aside and told her that she better be ready for some true magic. He was right.
The set, the choreography, the live orchestra and the incredible acting created a fantastic night that I know the kids will not forget. I love taking these moments to let the kids experience the arts. Having a conversation on the way home with Jude he was amazed at how much work it must have taken to create the set. It is so fun to have him connect the true effort and art of performances like this.

Interactive Fun In Act 2
To make this magical show even more magical there is one interactive part during Act 2 that was really amazing. As you walk into the theater you will be handed a light up wand that has been called a “fantastic fairy fixer”. Having the opera house lit up with these fun lights was beautiful and pretty magical! Will you fix the fairy?
