Ummm…yeah you read that right, today is day 100 of being knocked up! I have been pregnant for 100 days, doesn’t seem possible.

Yesterday we had our 16 week appointment. It went well. We heard a healthy heartbeat and my doc told us that the heart rate is 149.
Now if you google heart rates and gender you will see this:

Heartbeats
One belief that has been around for some time, and even had some acceptance in the medical community at one point, is that the fetal heartbeat differs for boys and girls. If you’re having a girl, then the fetal heart rate will be above 140. A boy will have a heart rate below 140. However, that pesky science has reared its little head again to say that this is complete fiction. A baby’s heart rate is not affected by its sex until it is born, when a girl’s heart rate will increase considerably compared with boys during labor.

So now we just have 28 days until we have our ultra sound that will tell us for sure – boy or girl! Can’t wait! Less than 1 month!! YAY!!

On top of the appointment yesterday I had to do my first Glucose Test, I had to drink the really sugary orange drink in 5 minutes and then 1 hour later get my blood drawn. I am just praying that my body took that extra glucose and got rid of it the right way, I will find out in a couple of days what my glucose blood draw numbers are. Prayers for a low number please!! I really do not want to “fail” this test because if I do I have to go in for a 3 hour test to make sure I do not have Gestational Diabetes. More waiting…

Well that’s my update. Happy Friday everyone!!

Yay! So happy for you! Yes, I'm a little late on your news.

FYI – the heart rate thing was right for us. Adeline's heart rate was always in the 160's and Braxton's was always in the 140's. I also had terrible heartburn with both of them and they both had a ton of hair. Sometimes I think the "old wives" knew a thing or two!

I hope your glucose test comes back ok. The 3 hour thing is not fun.

Can't wait to hear what you're having! Do you have a feeling one way or another?
