Our 10 Year Anniversary was last weekend, we were blessed to be able to have a weekend away just the TWO of us! What a treat. I have a ton of pictures and reviews I want to share with you all.
First up. Where we stayed.
We have a love for Bed and Breakfasts – they are different than hotels, something more relaxing and personal. With the help of Highland Haven we were able to choose them as our spot! Highland Haven Inn caught wind of our last year of crazy events and knew we needed a break. THANK YOU a million times!

Highland Haven is a Bed and Breakfast in Evergreen Colorado, just 30 minutes away from Denver but you enter a new world when you arrive. Highland Haven Inn is right along the Bear Creek, the lovely sound of the creek makes this place even more special. We loved this location, set back out of the town of Evergreen to feel like you have escaped reality but close enough for a great morning walk into Evergreen for shopping, wine tasting and eating.
Highland Haven Inn has Suites, Cottages and rooms. We were blessed with a beautiful Cottage with 2 bedrooms and a hot tub! Hillside Two was our home for the weekend. LOVE!
The fireplace was perfect and relaxing in the evening. The master bed room had the best King Size bed ever! Talk about a great resting place. The hot tub was great after a week of work. This is a different B&B, it isn’t old fashioned or antique but honestly it felt nicer because of the absence of the antique and frilly decorations. I felt more comfortable here.

Love the decor!

Perfect Kitchenette for snacks and drinks.

Sweet sleep with out 2 kiddos wanting to share the bed with us!!  AHHH!!
HOT TUB!!  All to yourself!
For those of you that cannot GET AWAY fully, Highland Haven Inn has Internet access and flat screen TVs with cable. We are one of those couples, believe me, we love our alone time but the time to just sit and relax and start a new series (Six Feet Under) was amazing too!

Feet up, Six Feet Under on the TV, Fire burning.

Oh WINE, sweet WINE!
So that’s the room but really the best part of Bed and Breakfasts is the BREAKFAST!! Nom Nom! Every morning you get a generous homemade breakfast! It was so
good, both mornings Jeremy and I left STUFFED!
Fresh Fruit, eggs, bagels, toast, trifles, potatoes, and pastries!

Highland Haven Inn has great prices too, if you need a get-a-way or are visiting Colorado. I recommend Highland Haven Inn in Evergreen Colorado. You can find a room for every price range. All of the rooms we saw looked fantastic.
I do believe we will be back to visit soon. We cannot thank Roxy and the Highland Haven Inn Staff enough for this weekend of celebration and relaxation.
