Last week we had the chance to visit a local farm just North of Denver for Jude’s field trip called Miller Farms. We were able to explore the farm and take part in the Harvest Party. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into when we walked into that farm on Thursday morning! But this picture will show you that we had our work cut out for us!

This was what we lugged home that day! Onions, cabbage, peppers of all kinds, leeks, carrots, celery, and potatoes! Yum!!
Miller Farms is a great educational trip for all ages. When you attend the harvest festival you have the opportunity to go and harvest your own veggies in their fields.
Jude was so excited to pick carrots. We cannot get him to eat them but he had fun picking them!
Helping Daddy find a good carrot to pick. Some serious business!
Potatoes for our soup! Yummy!
Peppers too! Perfect for Salsa!!
Tips for when you attend Miller Farms:
Bring gloves!
Bring Gardening Tools!
Bring your own heavy duty bags for your produce!
Wear long pants and sleeves, mosquitoes were horrible!
Bug spray!

When we were done harvesting it was time to explore the fun activities at the farm. Any Cars or Planes fan would just love this place!
Oh hey Mator!!! All of the kids were very excited to see this guy!
McQueen too?? So fun for this age.
Time to explore the planes. Jude has been slightly obsessed with the movie Planes so this was perfect for him!

Of course this farm has goats, dogs, ducks, frogs and turkeys too!
Jude and a BIG Carrot!
I love this chair. What a perfect photo op!!
Oh you know…sledding down a mountain of dirt…
Jude decided it was time for him to drive Mommy around. Yikes!!!
Miller Farms was a lot of fun and we enjoyed supporting local farmers! This is a perfect place for a family day out! Lots to do for all ages and not bad pricing when you walk away with at least 5 bags of produce!!

Looks like you all had a great time and looks like a wonderful place!
That looks so fun!!
This looks like so much fun! I don't think we have something like this in our area 🙁
Aww what a fun place! I wish we had a farm like that around here!
