Thursday is library day at Jude’s
Preschool.  He loves this day!  He gets to return his book that he chose the
week before and take a trip to the library and pick out a new book for the
week.  Something so simple but something
so powerful for our little guy!
Last week he picked out a Holiday Book called
The Gingerbread Bear.  This was probably
his favorite book he has checked out so far this year.  He loved it and even started memorizing the
words as we read it to him.  So cute!
This book is a different spin on the well-known
Gingerbread Man story.
The Gingerbread Bear
By Robert Dennis

Review:
This book is great for pre-readers.
Grades K-2 recommended.  The
pictures in this book are
great.  Even
Teagan thought they were great pictures to look at.  This book is about a Gingerbread Bear who
comes alive.  This Gingerbread Bear runs
all over the forest.  He runs into campers
and lots of wildlife friends but when the Clever Park Ranger tricks him he can’t
escape!  The rhyme in the book quickly
became the section of the book that Jude started singing as he was running
through the house!
Run,
run, try if you dare.
You
can’t catch me.
I’m the
Gingerbread Bear!
I love Library Day too!  I get excited to see what book we will be reading for the week at home!
What books have your children checked out this year?

Thanks for this! We are doing a gingerbread playdate this week and I'm going to see if I can snag a copy of this to read to the kids!
