Sunday was a windy day in Colorado which meant we finally got to try out a birthday present that Jude got in June! We headed for a walk to the park with a special treat that Jude was super excited for. A Tie Dyed Kite of course!
Jeremy got the kite all ready while the kids and I played on the playground and thankfully it stayed windy while this was happening…worst fear! Ha!
Jude and Jeremy had a great time. The wind was strong, maybe a little too strong but duct tape fixes all!! Daddy to the rescue with Red Duct Tape!
Teagan was loving the open space and had a great time running around. I was able to catch this photo of her running after the kite. So cute! She could have ran a mile that afternoon. She was all over the place!!
Jude didn’t like flying the kite as much as we thought he would but he really enjoyed chasing after the kite! He probably ran a mile too! I am so happy that I got some great shots that afternoon. It was a fun memory for us all.
Teagan, our Wild Child! She had a great time at the park. She even took a head first dive off of the slide into the wood chips. She cried for about a second and then went down the slide again. No fear!!! I look at these pictures of her and she looks so big but still so tiny.
What a special family activity. I hope we find another windy day soon.
Let’s Go Fly a Kite has been in my head for the last couple of days – now it will be in yours! Enjoy your day and I hope you get to fly a kite soon!
