For my long time readers you know that we are a Montessori family and we try to use some of the great Montessori teachings in our home every day as well. One of those teachings is independence. We practice that independence and learning in our kitchen with Jude. My little kitchen helper can create quite a big mess but it is totally worth it! Not to mention with the help of Scott® Towels we can clean up our big messes with no problem. Oh and that cleaning becomes a teachable moment as well! Bonus!!!

I am a perfectionist, {there I admitted it} so having my special guy help me in the kitchen for dinners is quite an experience for me. I am THAT person that cleans up messes as I go but with a 3 year old helping me we do not stop!  Using high quality  Scott®  Paper Towels make the perfectionist in me not freak out as we create our recipes.
Thanks Maria!  We are trying every day and I think we are succeeding.  Every day I see Jude grow and do every day things on his own and I know we are making the right choices with following Maria Montessori.

Before we start any of our cooking or meal prep the first step that we make is by getting our  Scott® Paper Towels out and ready for use.  Even Jude knows that if we do not have any paper towels we are going to have to stop and find some.  We are teaching Jude about cleanliness while cooking and getting meals ready as well.  The  Scott®  Paper Towels help me keep Jude’s hands free and clear of germs and boogers….yup we are in that stage!  Good times!  #boymom

This was just what Jude left us after getting a small smoothie made.  Easy clean up with Scott!  The paper towel from  Scott®  Choose-A-Sheet paper towel roll is high quality and ready for any small or big mess.  More importantly…Durable for those tough messes that toddlers and children are so well known for.

I always make sure that we have our pantry stocked full of the durable  Scott®  Towels and I can find the best deals at Kmart.  Coupon and deal hunters here is a great one for you!  Jump on this!  Check out Kmart’s Shop You Way Rewards for great coupon offers on Scott Tissue products this week! This is when I stock up! I know we use them every day and with a deal like this it is a great time to stock up at Kmart.

My very favorite part of the Scott® Towels is that even though I am using paper products I can be choosy about how much paper I am using.  For example – when I use Scott® Towels Choose-a-Sheet when I am cooking by myself I usually only need 1 sheet of towel.  When Jude helps me we need about 2 sheets to get cleaned up, really not too bad – hello durable!  Now that Teagan wants to do everything Jude does I sometimes end up with a HUGE mess and that requires 3 or more sheets!
I have recently started talking to Jude about conserving our resources and making better choices to have a healthier earth and these Choose-a-Sheet have been a big hit with Jude.  He knows that he should only use what he needs to clean up after he helps in the kitchen.  So many great moments with my kitchen helper!  Bring on the mess and the memories!
Make sure you stay connected with Scott® Towels on Facebook and find more coupon deals here!  Make Scott® Towels do your clean up so you can enjoy the memories and teachable moments that can be made in the kitchen with your kiddos!
How do you allow your children to help you in the kitchen?

I've learned to let go in the kitchen that's for sure 🙂 And Scott towels helped me! Cute pics!

He gets to help me with baking – he likes to help dump ingredients in the bowl and stuff like that, but doesn't like the sound of kitchen appliances…so he helps with quiet things

I love scott towels because they are strong and I like the texture. My daughter loves to bring me things to the kitchen like her plate and sippy cup.

Its amazing what they learn to do on their own, especially with the Montessori way – love having Lennox help me in the kitchen and we sure do use A LOT of paper towels!

My 12-year old has one night per week where she is responsible for planning and preparing a meal. I have to let go a LOT and we have had some interesting meals, but she loves to cook (it's an outlet for her sensory issues). She does NOT like to clean up after herself though!
