Teagan is having a lot of new firsts recently, one of those firsts was heading to the dentist for the first time.
Ready for honesty? Teagan has been plagued with the 2nd child syndrome – we were so good about brushing Jude’s teeth right after he started getting teeth. Teagan, not so much. So when it was time for me to take her to the dentist, I was nervous for her.
She did great though, actually better than Jude! She loved looking around and exploring all of the tools and the room.
She even let the dentist count her teeth and do an exam. Thankfully everything looks nice and healthy! Yay Teagan!
We are really set on trying to get rid of the bottle before bed due to her teeth coming in – just another thing we need to work on. Seriously, the second child gets the shaft! I promise to do better with brushing her teeth!!
Teagan looked really cute in that big dental chair. Mum I think it was a great idea to take photos of the event for all involved. You will be able to look back on that first and have something to share.
The dental experience for kids is totally different from years ago. They attempt to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. They have play rooms, toys, props like sunglasses, staff that are trained to handle children, gifts for them and soo much more. I am envious because even to this day I dread going to the dentist. Could have been different if those first series of visits were much better.
It is a know fact the second child develops much slower because they are not pushed like the first. They show specific behaviour traits that are not found with the first. Hope you are able to keep your word to yourself on Teagan.
Good luck.
