Board games, something that most kids enjoy. My child on the other hand has to be moving to stay interested in anything! When we first opened the Kitten Caboodle™ Game I wondered if Jude would be interested in this card game. Jude is a very active child so I am always looking for educational yet active games and activities to keep him busy and learning at the same time. The Kitten Caboodle has this all in one little box.
The Kitten Caboodle™ Game is a game that helps kids with matching, counting and even social skills. All of these attributes make for a great game for most ages. This game is listed as ages 5 plus, however, Jude is almost 4 and we have had a great time playing this game. We do modify the rules a bit and play more of a matching game than anything else but he really enjoys it.
Game Description: Find your purr…fect match in this game of furry, feline fun! Draw from the stack or “go fish” from another player’s hand to collect cards that match the all of the pet necessities and accessories of the cat you want to adopt. Collect everything that cat needs and adopt it! Adopt the most cats and you win this preschool matching game.
I think the best part about this game is that Jude doesn’t have to sit still to play. He is able to move around the coffee table as we all try to get our kittens’ needs met! We are a kitty family so this was a lot of fun for him. Especially when he saw that a couple of the kittens looked like kitties he knows in real life. Such a cute game!
Although, Educational Insights recommends ages 5 and up I believe that any child that is able to do counting and matching can enjoy this game in their own way. The cards and game pieces are high quality and can take a “toddler beating!” Perfect for our home, especially when little sister Teagan gets her hands on the game pieces!
Not everyone is a Kitten family so Educational Insights made a Diggity Dogs Game too! Also, adorable! Same concept and rules but with our woofing friends instead! We took this version to Grandmas house to enjoy some fun with dogs!
Looks like fun game. We have dogs in our family so I am thinking we would go Diggity Dogs. My family loves to have game night!
