Bigelow, Walmart, Bigelow Tea, tea, #AmericasTea. Iced Tea. Father's Day treats!
Every Father’s Day we host a big family BBQ at our house.  Most of the menu is a traditional menu so I do not get to be too creative in the kitchen for this holiday but this year I have decided to mix up some refreshing Iced Tea for our guests to enjoy.  Our menu consists of Steak Kabobs which means even though it is Father’s Day Jeremy is manning the grill.  It is a tough HOT job but someones got to be the Grill Master!

I headed to Walmart to pick out some tea flavors and found myself only grabbing my favorite tea brand Bigelow.  Bigelow Tea is known for its family owned and American company as well as its high quality and fresh tea in every box.  The foil tea packages keep the tea bags nice, fresh and dry – qualities of fabulous tea! #AmericasTea!
Since I will be making these refreshing drinks for Father’s Day I decided to create Jeremy’s favorite drink!  An Arnold Palmer.  Jeremy orders Arnold Palmers about 95% of the time we go out to eat.  It is his drink…even Jude knows how to order a drink for Daddy.  I picked up a classic black tea for my Arnold Palmers and then decided to do a Fresh Iced Peach Tea for another choice for our guests.  A lot of times I forget that these high quality teas can be turned into high quality iced tea!

Bigelow Arnold Palmer for Dad
Ingredients:
Black Tea
Lemonade
Ice
Lemons for garnish
Fun straws if you want too!
To create an Arnold Palmer for Dad you will need to steep your black Bigelow Tea or if you are making a large batch you can make black tea in the sun.  The best!  Once your black tea is brewed you will begin to mix your drinks.
In a single glass fill half with black tea and half with lemonade over ice.  Do not mix, let the drink mix itself. Add fresh lemon slices to the glass.
Serve cold and over ice!

Grilling in the summer is great, it keeps the heat out of the kitchen but remember your Grill Master might need an ice cold drink while manning that heat!  I served Jeremy a homemade Arnold Palmer in his favorite Mason Jar glass, made it even better!

Great fresh ingredients.  Our Arnold Palmers will be a hit with our Father’s Day guests, I just know it!

To give our guests another choice of Iced tea I decided to buy some fresh peaches (yum, don’t you love summer?) and Bigelow Peach Herb tea bags.  Peach tea is my favorite flavor of iced tea and adding some real peaches to each glass makes me enjoy it even more.
I made a big batch of sun tea with the peach herbal tea.  I put it in my new adorable drink container over ice once it was done brewing in the sun.  I cut up 3 fresh peaches and put the slices into the container.  I cut up another 2 peaches for individual glasses for extra flavor.  I really enjoy the flavors of the fresh tea and fruit, it isn’t too sweet and sugary which makes it even more refreshing when it is ice cold.

I know that we will get a lot of compliments on our Father’s Day dinner and I know that Jeremy has enjoyed getting pampered at the grill!  I know he will have a glass of his favorite drink in hand on Father’s Day!  A refreshed chef is a happy chef!
What is your favorite iced tea flavor?

Have you ever added fresh fruits to your teas?  I recommend it!

I am a huge ice tea drinker in the summer. I make sun tea a lot. I do drink hot tea too, but usually in the fall. I'm from NY so we don't do sweet tea, but the peach sounds really good

That looks yummy. I pinned them. I am addicted to ice tea. But I did switch to decaf so I don't feel as guilty.

I love tea period, and a glass of ice-cold tea in the summertime is delicious. I love the fruity blends, and have a soft spot for fruity iced green teas. Peach is one of my favorite flavors, and mixed with lemonade – YUM!
