Disclosure:  I was provided this Design & Drill® Socket to Me set free of charge in return for my honest review.

Jude has always been one of those little boys that wants to help Daddy with any project that involves tools. When I first saw this Design & Drill® Socket to Me Set I knew that Jude would want Jeremy to sit down with him and have some great son and Daddy bonding time.

The Design & Drill® Socket to Me Set is a kit that includes a working socket wrench and bolts.  While it is summertime we found ourselves stuck inside last Sunday due to some crazy Colorado weather which meant a house of crazy broke out!  I decided that was a perfect afternoon to break out the Design & Drill® Socket to Me Set for Jude to explore!

Design & Drill® Socket to Me set
When Jude saw the set he was instantly in his chair ready to do some work!  The Design & Drill® Socket to Me Set comes with four different projects.  Your child can choose from a Car, Robot, Rocket or Boat.  The working socket wrench even has real ratchet sounds!  So cute.  Jude loved that he had his own tool to use on his Rocket project.
Set Description:
Design a boat, robot, race car, or rocket with a real, working socket wrench and rugged bolts – then play with your creations! Endless construction fun for preschoolers.

Design & Drill® Socket to Me set
Educational Insights recommends that this set is for ages 4 and up.  Jude is almost 4 and it was a perfect afternoon activity for him.  The best part about this set is not only that it was an activity that Jude enjoyed but that the concept of this set is to work on developing fine motor skills and encourages creativity.  Jude is not a kiddo that likes to sit for very long but he sat with Jeremy for almost a hour doing all four of the projects and then played with them when they were complete.
Jude decided to do the Rocket first and when he completed all of the bolts in the Rocket we had one very proud boy!  He liked that he could use the socket wrench all on his own!  I would recommend this kit for ages 3 and up!
