Well it is that time.  Another birthday party to plan!  Hard to believe that in just a few short
months we will be celebrating Teagan’s 2nd birthday.  Seriously, doesn’t seem possible.  But it is which means it is time to get into
party planning mode for this special little lady.
When I started to think about what theme we
should have for her 2nd birthday I knew that this would be the last
theme we would get to choose for her.
From here on out she will be the senior planner of her birthdays just
like Jude is now.
If you would have asked me what theme we would do
for her 6 months ago I would have said Elmo…hands down no questions asked but
here we are and Elmo is not joining us.
Instead the one that speaks for the trees will be our special guest to
help us celebrate!  The Lorax!!  In the last couple of months Teagan {and Jude}
have been becoming increasingly obsessed with this movie and I’ve got to be
honest, I am too!  I love this story and
love that my kids love it too.
I have 2 months to pull this fun and colorful
theme together and I cannot wait to get started!
Here are my ideas so far!

Planning a Lorax Themed Birthday Party

Location – being that we live in Colorado we
are going to rent out the same room at our local rec center that we did last
year just to be safe.  You never know –
it could be HOT or a blizzard.  Hey
welcome to Colorado.
Food – Going easy for this!  Veggie and fruit trays, pizzas and garlic
bread!
Treats – Going to incorporate some Truffula
Trees and bright colored treats for everyone.
Thinking of some cotton candy Trufflula Trees, bright candies and rock
candies.

Cake – I love the idea of a cake topper with
the Lorax and then cupcakes with the Lorax on them.  Orange of course!

Decorations – Bright colors everywhere.  Thinking of a fun Lorax Wreath instead of a
birthday banner.  Great printables all
around the room with the Lorax quotes.
Orange and yellow and some grass green will be the main colors.

Activity – because we are inside we will need
an activity for the kids to stay entertained.
Since the Lorax speaks for the trees I would love to make Lorax flower
pots and have the kiddos plant some seeds!

Goodie bags – I would like to make orange Lorax
treat bags to have everyone take home some of their own treats from the treat
bar.  Yum!

Invites – still deciding on this one.  So many cute options!
So that is the plan.  I cannot wait to dive in an get
creative.  I love this theme and know
that Teagan will be so excited to see Truffula Trees and her favorite Lorax at
her party!
I would love any tips or ideas on how to make
this party pop!!  So share away!!
