Well I am finally back at it.  How sad that it is September and this is my first Book Review of the year?  Maybe that tells me that it has been a busy year or that I am not taking enough time for myself?  Who knows.  But either way, I am back at it!!

I know that I will not reach my 2014 Reading Goal of 14 books BUT I am determined to keep up with my new found love again and get some reading in before the end of the year.  The Reading Challenge from GoodReads is telling me that I am 7 books behind…YIKES!!

How are you doing on your reading challenge for the year?

My first book of 2014 is another Janet Evanovich book.  I tried to get into a different book but there is something about Stephanie Plum that just pulls me in.  I love her shenanigans and love reading about her.
Hard Eight By Janet Evanovich - Book Review. Janet Evanovich books. Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie Plum.
Seven Up
(Stephanie Plum Series #7)
By Janet Evanovich

My Review:
I have told you over and over again, I love Stephanie but there was something about this book that made it really hard to stay in the book.  I did finally finish it but found myself wondering if I would continue the series.  BUT as I continued reading I found myself HOOKED once again.  Stephanie had another car blown up, a killer giant rabbit stalked her and we meet Albert.

Another thrilling moment is the debt that is FINALLY paid to Ranger by Stephanie.  Wow, just wow! So here’s the deal, if you find yourself wondering if you will be continuing the Stephanie Plum series you have to at least make it through this.  The relationship that builds between Ranger and Stephanie is huge.  He protects her and he obviously loves her.

With every book I read about Stephanie Plum I find myself wanting to be a fly on her wall and her car.  What a lifestyle?!  Not to mention her style just throws me back to the 90’s, its a trip!

My rating:

I am giving this book a 4 out of 5 cupcakes.  I love Stephanie but she had me bored at first and honestly, all that build up to the debt should have given us more steamy details, don’t you think???  Stephanie wins again because my next review is number 9 – I read that book in 2 days, believe me you will find another happy review coming soon!

What am I reading now:

I fell into the curse, I picked up 50 Shades of Grey – honestly, it has me blushing, A LOT.  Review to come soon.

What are you reading?

Thanks for your honest review about the beginning. It does sound like a book that I would like to read though.
