Disclosure: I received free admission to the farm in return for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
We all have our own Fall Family Traditions and visiting Anderson Farms in Erie Colorado is one of ours. We have been going to Anderson Farms in October for 6 yeas now. Yes, even before kids I made Jeremy go to the Pumpkin Patch with me. Since having Jude and Teagan it has become even more of a tradition and we love it. Last weekend we headed out to the Farms to pick up some pumpkins and play at the farm. Since my best friends, Lauren and Jared have moved to Colorado we decided that they had to come visit with us. Even though it was a challenging weather day in Colorado we all had a great time.

We had to get our traditional Halloween Costume shot with the kids. Thankfully we were able to get them all dressed up and take some fun photos before the crazy rain started. Introducing our Tinkerbell and Storm Trooper!
Anderson Farms is a great day trip for families. There are so many activities for all ages. Oh and even a very tall man can fit into the barrel cars for the train ride. Just an FYI! After we changed out of the costumes we headed out to all of the fun activities. One of Jude and Teagan’s very favorite thing to do is the barrel cars. Teagan really wanted Daddy to go with her so Jeremy did as he was told. Jude and Teagan are so lucky to have a great Daddy like Jeremy. So cute!
During the barrel car ride the sky opened up and started dumping rain on us all. OH NO!!! We had just started our day at the farm. We decided that we had to wait out the rain so we stopped playing and found some lunch and a great picnic area. About 45 minutes later we were able to finally go and get our pumpkins and enjoy some more of the activities.
We got all bundled up and headed to the wagon to go out to the pumpkin patch. One of the best things about Anderson Farms is that you actually go out to the patch to pick your pumpkin! I think it gives the kiddos a little lesson into gardening and farming. Plus, it is so cool to see all of those different shapes, sizes and colors out in the field.
Jude and Daddy cuddled up and ready to go find some great pumpkins. I am so happy we waited out the rain. Sure it was chilly but guess what? We live in Colorado! We have to be ready for any sort of weather. Thankfully the field wasn’t too muddy so we were able to enjoy the trip even though it was a bit cold.
Daddy and Teagan checking out all of those pumpkins. Teagan just loved climbing in the dirt. Silly girl.
Found it!! This is THE one. Teagan found the perfect pumpkin for her. I will say, for a local pumpkin patch, the prices are right! For the experience and fun the admission to the farms and the prices of the pumpkins are really affordable.
Oh I love this photo of Jude! He found his pumpkin and check out that really pretty yellow flower. The fall colors are just perfect in this shot. Also, when did he grow up??
So happy! Found it! It had to be a big pumpkin because Jude wants to put a Mummy and a Skeleton on his pumpkin this year! Ha!
Teagan holding the pumpkins! Wagon fun of course!
Once we got back from the patch we decided to have some fun on the farm. We were all getting tired and cold but we knew we had to feed the goats and check out all of the other animals. Jude loves feeding goats and because of that he made lots of goat friends that day.
The Jailhouse photo is also a family tradition. So cute. They thought this was a funny picture. After we took a couple more Fall Fun photos we decided to pack up and head home. While we didn’t get out to the Corn Maze or the playground we had a busy and fun day. I absolutely love Anderson Farms. Being that it is a working farm makes it even better. By the way, if you stop in make sure you take a look around the store. You will walk away with some great products that are local and yummy that’s for sure!
Happy Fall from our family to yours!
I know that we will continue this Colorado tradition of taking a trip to Anderson Farms as the kids get older. There are so many activities at the Fall Festival for all ages. Some of those things like the pumpkin launching and giant tricycle races will be my kids’ favorite things in a couple of years, no doubt!
For those of you living in Colorado, this is a familiar scene, for those that have not been hear in the fall – wow! Just wow! The clouds, the mountains and the great colors of fall. This photo pretty much makes me fall in love with my state over and over again. Even with the cool rainy fall day – it was picture perfect.
Do you visit a Pumpkin Patch or Farm for your Fall Family Traditions?
So gorgeous out there! Love all of these pictures, Censie!
We had so much fun. Got a lot of pumpkins and got to snuggle those babies! Loved it!
It looks like you had a great time – I love all of the photos but the one with the corn is too cute for words!
Looks like so much fun! Amazing pictures!
We always head to our local farm pumpkin patch-my son loves their pumpkin cannon that have to launch the pumpkins from a real ancient cannon! So much fun!
That's cool to have a family holiday tradition. We didn't really have any for the Thanksgiving season. It's such a special thing for kids to look back on when they are older. You just reminded me that I need to get my pumpkin soon.
Looks like you had a great (but wet!) day!
Looks like a fun place to go for pumpkins. My boys went to one last Sunday and had a blast.
I need to not suck at taking pictures next year!!! Looks like even the rain made for a nice day!
This place looks like fun! And I love that corn that your kids are posing on. What a great prop for some cute photos:)
i'm a little late on getting the kids to the pumpkin patch…this place looks awesome!
That looks sooo fun! I wish we lived closer. Beautiful photos.
Awww. This brings back memories of when I took the little guy I nannied for the pumpkin patch! Such a fun fall tradition that your kids will remember forever – I still remember going as a little tyke! 🙂
