Disclosure: Thanks to BSMMedia and Leapfrog, we were sent a LeapTV to test out. As always all opinions are my own.
Christmas is coming and do you have a wish list from your kids yet? Jude has been building his list for months. Well when we came home one evening and saw this special delivery from #MommyParties I think we all had that Christmas morning excitement I am very excited to share with you a great Christmas Idea for ages 3-8 year olds and younger siblings! 😉 The LeapTV by Leap Frog.
We planned a LeapTV party with some of our friends but when we found out that I had Pink Eye we had to cancel our LeapTV party. Sad. The best part though, the LeapTV kept all of us happy and having fun during our quarantine! That makes me excited to have this item during the COLD Colorado winter too!
Once we got everything set up on the TV we were ready for some fun. I was surprised how easy it was to get the LeapTV up and running and the kids were happy about that too! They were so excited. We are not much of a video game family but when I read about the educational and movement qualities of these LeapTV games I was really excited to see them in action.
We were sent 2 games to try out. The LeapTV Sports game was full of fun. This game has 8 different sports games included and the focus of this game is mathematics! While this wasn’t the game that kept the kids entertained the longest it was a great addition to the LeapTV. I feel like this game would be perfect for Jude in a couple of years.
The Dance and Learn game is the game that is continuing to be played. This was a hit for both Jude and Teagan. The LeapTV is recommended for ages 3-8 but Teagan, who is 2, was totally able to do the Dance and Learn game activities. So cute. She loved seeing herself on the TV, she thought that was pretty cool.
I believe that our favorite dance game is the Dance Like a Dino. So cute! Seeing Jude follow directions and get moving is priceless. Another great part about the LeapTV system is that When you register your LeapTV with LeapFrog you automatically get the Pet Play World game for FREE! Guess what – that free game is so fun! The kids made their own pets. Teagan made a cute kitten and Jude now has a pet robot!
While our big plans for a fun LeapTV party fell through, we had a great evening as a family. I felt like we had some educational moments, physical moments, laughing moments and just plain fun moments with the LeapTV. I am really excited to get the kids a few more games for Christmas. I know this will be a product that gets a lot of use in our home, especially during the months that getting outside for some physical activity is hard.
LeapTV is a great gift idea for Christmas because it teaches core skills in these subjects: reading, mathematics, science and problem solving.
This system is designed with kids ages 3-8 in mind, and the system uses a motion-sensing camera and controller that fits small hands.
BUY IT: LeapTV can be purchased directly from the LeapFrog website for $149.99 or find it at a toy retailer near you!
