Jude’s First Basketball Game

Last weekend Jude had his first basketball practice and game.  Once again we had Jude join the i9 league just like he did for T-Ball.  Our first experience with i9 was very positive so we are hoping for the same thing for Basketball.  Basically, i9 is supposed to be more instructional than competitive which is what we feel preschool age needs.

He was so excited to get up and dressed for basketball and finally get to use his new basketball that he got for Christmas. Fun!!

The first 30 minutes of every meet up is a practice and then the last 30 minutes is the game.  Jude never made a basket but it became clear that he loves to rebound!  Ha!  He did great and even wanted to sleep with his basketball that night. Who knows if this will be his sport of choice but right now we really want him to try out everything and find something he truly enjoys.  So far so good with Basketball, he is already asking when he gets to go back.  So fun!

Look at the Jordan tongue!  Such determination!!

What winter sports or activities are your kids involved in?

He is so cute. My kids aren't much of sports fans. We do ballet and boy scouts. Although they do have a basketball hoop at home and they love to shoot.

What a sweetie. I remember when my 12 year started in a similar league. What fun that he is getting out and getting excercise in the winter.

Love how enthusiastic he is and how he's being taught to appreciate the game before being thrown into the competition.

Oh he looks so cute! My boys don't get to do much during the school year yet. They are still young and because we are a 4 day school they have a long day already. I can't imagine trying to add practice and games on top of that.

This summer I hope to get them both involved in t-ball, gymnastics and we do several swim lessons in the summer.
