Last weekend Jude had his first basketball practice and game. Once again we had Jude join the i9 league just like he did for T-Ball. Our first experience with i9 was very positive so we are hoping for the same thing for Basketball. Basically, i9 is supposed to be more instructional than competitive which is what we feel preschool age needs.
He was so excited to get up and dressed for basketball and finally get to use his new basketball that he got for Christmas. Fun!!
The first 30 minutes of every meet up is a practice and then the last 30 minutes is the game. Jude never made a basket but it became clear that he loves to rebound! Ha! He did great and even wanted to sleep with his basketball that night. Who knows if this will be his sport of choice but right now we really want him to try out everything and find something he truly enjoys. So far so good with Basketball, he is already asking when he gets to go back. So fun!
Awww, isn't he a cutie pie. My oldest tried basketball, but it wasn't his thing.
He is so cute. My kids aren't much of sports fans. We do ballet and boy scouts. Although they do have a basketball hoop at home and they love to shoot.
Oh my he is adorable!!! Its great when they actually enjoy it and want to go back! My son wasn't into basketball to much. Did a little better with Tball. lol now he likes to Fish.. Whenever he can. lol
Oh my goodness. Could he be any cuter? Glad he had fun!
So cute!! Hope he has so much fun 🙂
I really need to check into i9! Seriously Eyan needs something. Judes little face in the last picture is so cute, serious focus!
Love the pics! My boys are doing Winter Lacrosse! (Inside of course)
Aw look at him play. He did good. my son is into band right now.
HaHa look at your little basketball star. I wish him some fun games this year.
What a sweetie. I remember when my 12 year started in a similar league. What fun that he is getting out and getting excercise in the winter.
What cutie pie! Determination will definitely take him far in basketball and in life.
Love how enthusiastic he is and how he's being taught to appreciate the game before being thrown into the competition.
How sweet is that! That is great that he is starting young – I started my boys young in sports too!
Oh, your little one looks so adorable. This post reminded me of my own son's first basketball game many years agao.
How precious! I remember when my son was that age and just getting started in sports. It's such a special time – enjoy it!
That is a star in the making. Real cutie.
Oh he is adorable. I love it so sweet. GO Jude!!!!
Oh my goodness, look at him go!! What a cutie, and you got some great pics!
How great! Basketball is great for young ones to play!
Oh he looks so cute! My boys don't get to do much during the school year yet. They are still young and because we are a 4 day school they have a long day already. I can't imagine trying to add practice and games on top of that.
This summer I hope to get them both involved in t-ball, gymnastics and we do several swim lessons in the summer.
