My favorite part about Valentine’s Day is the fun sayings found on Valentines.  Since Jude is not really able to write out his own Valentine cards yet this year, I decided to start working on something for him to hand out to all of his friends at school.  I knew I wanted a Valentine that was quirky and CANDY free!!  Look people, we still have Halloween candy in our kitchen.  I know that we are not alone – so just like last year with the Glow Stick Valentine’s I knew I had to get creative!

Steps:

Print out the labels.  I used a shipping label size so it was big enough to read.

Place Play-Doh in treat bags.  I put 3 different colors in each bag.  It really is up to you on how many you include in the bags.

Tie bag with yarn.  Tie a pretty bow.  I decided to use red ribbon for the holiday.

If your child can write his name, have him sign each label.

Place a label on each treat bag.

Complete!!!  Ready for delivery!!

Like I said, super easy right?

That is a very cute idea. Now, the trick is getting all the playdoh into the bags before the kids get it and succeed in making yet another shade of brown lol. Much better than more not needed candy. Thanks for the post.

Love the idea of play doh rather than more candy. Kids rack up on candy as is at holiday times so this is a great treat that isnt pure sugar haha!
