The winter has been crazy here in Colorado. Sure we have gotten some snow as expected but the COLD oh the cold! Too cold. The kids have been wanting us to take them sledding but we were avoiding the freezing temperatures BUT finally the day after Christmas we couldn’t resist any longer. We bundled up and headed to the park down the street, literally walking distance from us and lucky for us – PERFECT sledding hill too!!
This is Jude’s second winter of sledding on his own but this was Teagan’s first. Last year she did go down the hill once or twice but this year she was so into it. Even when she face planted 2 times! That’s our girl!!
Here is a great video that just makes me laugh and smile. The joys of a child.
We also taught Teagan all about snow angels . Ahh…precious angels!!
After we were cold and tired we started our way back home and we were able to catch this adorable video. Jude told us he needed to help Teagan home because she had a long day sledding. My heart!!
Once we got home we warmed up with some hot chocolate and memories. Perfect! Glad we finally braved the cold for some sledding fun!
So much fun! I hope we get some snow here this year so that Lennox can go sledding again. We have gone sledding before but on icy snow!
We have snow in Wisconsin so it is time to get out the sleds. This is a funny year – snow in November then none in December – glad we have snow in January. This week is terribly cold – wind chills in the -30 – so hopping it warms up a little for the weekend so we can go sledding.
We have only gotten dustings so far and my kids are dying for it to snow so they can go sledding.
Oh, I love it! We have told the boys that when it snows enough we will definitely find a steep hill and head out for some sledding. That is one of my favorite memories growing up!
This is what happy childhood memories are made of!
How cute is Jude's face in the first picture. I took the kids sledding by myself…unfortunately no pictures as the kids were a bit of a handful by myself 🙂 The video is too damn adorable
I haven't been sledding since I was 10. I think it's the one thing I miss about snow.
It's just now getting cold around here! Hopefully we'll get some snow so we can go sledding too. It looks like you guys had a ton of fun!
I am just cold looking at these pictures. Its cold here but no snow I rather have both.
awww we don't typically get that much snow in Alabama but when we do we try to have fun. It's going down to 11 degrees here tonight and to be honest I think we may get some tomorrow . We shall see.
So cold here but no snow. That looks like a good time.
So fun! It makes me miss the days my kids were little and we lived in Manhattan and used to go sledding in Central Park. Great memories.
Aww, how sweet. Looks like you all had a great time sledding.
OMG how much fun are they having….I want to play with them.
Sledding is def. one thing I do like about winter. I'm trying to note things I do like about it, instead of whining about what I don't. 😉
You certainly made sledding look and sound like fun, if only you could get rid of the cold weather.
What an amazing way to spend time together as a family. The kids look like they had a blast.
Oh my that looks so fun! I wish my Florida babies could experience snow more!
So fun. My kids love winter and sledding. It's snowing out today, so I know they'll be begging to go sledding on our hill this weekend. Glad you're enjoying winter even though it is COLD!!!
That certainly is the perfect sledding hill! We love our outdoor play in winter 🙂
How fun! We haven't been sledding yet this year. Cute kids!
I love that you made these with yogurt – pinning!
I have never seen snow so I totally missed out on all these family memories that many have. I hope to one day let my son play in the snow!
We have a great sleddng hill near where we live.
We have a sledding hill just down the street from us that we have failed miserable to go and use this season. ugh.. hope we get a chance to go before the snow is all gone!
