This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

2015 is going to be the year that our home gets cleaned, organized, redone, purged and made amazing!  It is a big task but I am determined!!  It is February but we have made huge progress already!  I am trying to think small so that we do not get too overwhelmed with this task.  Frankly people, we want to love our home again!!!

Our first room that we tackled, and I mean tackled!!  HA!  Was the Playroom.  Oh the playroom – it took about 5 weeks to totally purge and organize that room but it is done.  Now, like I said I wanted small projects, the playroom was HUGE, so after I worked on the playroom I moved to the hall closet. I found that simple baskets and containers really helped me get organized and keep everything in a good place.  I found all of my organizing supplies at Dollar General – hey people, we have a lot of work to do so we have to stay on a budget! Thank you Dollar General!!

Time for honesty, you know that is how it is here, we have a big mess in the bathroom – hey, hey, not THAT mess.  The Under the Sink Mess!!!!!  Yikes!!

One afternoon, after trying to find some toilet paper under the sink I decided I had enough.  I headed to my local Dollar General and stocked up on baskets, containers and bathroom cleaning supplies.  I love doing DIY projects, especially DIY projects that can be done in less than an hour – this is one of them!!

Tips for DIY Under the Sink Organization:

1.  Head to Dollar General and pick up some baskets and containers to hold your cleaning supplies, curling iron/dryer, toilet paper, ect.  Save on home essentials with Dollar General!

2.  Clean it out!!  Do you know how much STUFF I found under our sink – YUCK!  Time to clean out and clean up!  I took everything out from under my sink and started fresh.  I love that feeling!

3.  Place baskets and containers under sink.  Decide how to best optimize your small space.  I used a basket for all of our toilet paper and sanitary items and then a larger plastic container for our cleaning supplies and my hair dryer.  This keeps everything in order and easy to reach.

4.  Keep it clean!!  Seriously, I need this reminder, it looks so nice so keep it that way.

I love that we have a simply organized under the bathroom sink space now.  Looks so lovely and now my guests won’t have to search for toilet paper if necessary!

My next small task – Under the kitchen sink!!  Oy!! Thankfully with the help of Dollar General I know that our 2015 goal of getting organized, purging and loving our house will happen!  Bring it on!!

What DIY project are you working on now?

Make sure you Save on home essentials with Dollar General!

I recently reorganized under my bathroom sink, too. It definitely makes it easier to get ready in the morning, doesn't it?

I am working on organizing my books and bookcases. A few of those baskets would come in handy right about now.

We put a double shelf under our sink and I can fit a lot more stuff without things toppling over! Great ideas. I need to declutter too.

Baskets and other containers are the only things that tame the mess under any of my sinks. It makes me feel much more organized knowing they'r ethere.
