Summer Weather Means Zoo Day!!

Last weekend the Colorado decided to turn to summer!  We are talking 80 degree weather that gave me my first sunburn of the season kind of weather!  We decided to go to The Denver Zoo on Saturday and really get out and enjoy the weather and the fresh air.  We invited Lauren and Jared too since the only time they had been to the zoo was for Zoolights during the holidays.  We had a great time and cannot wait for some more spring and summer weather to explore the zoo again soon.

Teagan’s favorite animal is the Giraffe now.  She loves seeing them and sleeps with a Giraffe stuffed animal every night.  So we had to stop at the Giraffes first thing!  Jared loves hanging out with the kiddos and these kiddos adore him!
A tradition at the Zoo!  Get a picture on the STEAMING HOT metal hippo!  Sorry kids!  Mommy needs that picture just don’t touch the hippo!!

The carousal is always a must.  Good thing Lauren loves to ride it as much as Teagan and Jude.  Now I don’t have to get sick on the ride!
Jude and Daddy ready for the ride to start!

All that running and playing in the sun had everyone ready for a nap!
Such a fun day at the Zoo.  Now we are ready for spring so hopefully the snow decides to hibernate for the rest of the season!!
How do you spend nice spring weekends with your family?

We've had a membership to our zoo the past few years. It's a lot of fun to go when the crowds are thinner!

What a great zoo! Our local zoo is so small and does not have giraffes or hippos. Looks like they had a great time!

We go to the zoo every year as well. Last year we made it to both the Denver Zoo and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. This year though I want to do a bit more of the museums. We do Cheyenne every year since it's only about 10 minutes away. 🙂
