I don’t know about you but our Saturday mornings are hardly restful – usually we wake up to the sound of little feet running the halls and asking for food! At that early moment, my eyes shoot open and instantly I think of our busy weekend schedule! So much for a lazy Saturday. Instead, I have to figure out how to keep these two crazies happy and busy until we hit the road for our normal Saturday adventures.
Sure they are adorable in their PJ’s and bright eyed cheese faces but these kids, they get morning hunger pains like crazy! Feed them and feed them quick!! While I try to gather my Saturday morning composure, take a shower and rock my weekend mom yoga pants I always make sure the kids are filling those growling tummies with a hearty breakfast. As you imagine time is limited on these mornings so I am always looking for kid approved breakfast ideas.
Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Parfait
My kids adore Yogurt so when I figured out a fun way to include fruit in their daily yogurt I was so excited. Parfaits are a great breakfast for any age and can be made custom for anyone’s taste or season of fruit.
Ingredients:
Fresh fruit, diced to bite size
Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Granola or crushed cereal
Directions:
Start with a layer of yogurt and then start the layering process of fruit and yogurt. Make it pretty and different each time you create one. Once the layers are done add granola or crushed cereal to the top of your parfait for an extra crunch! Serve cold and enjoy!

Thank you for the recipe, my kids wake up extremely early on the weekends. If I am not up to give them breakfast they will make their own which usually means a big mess. These parfaits and Hot Pockets look easy and the kids really look like they are enjoying them : )
