I am no stranger to heartburn.  I remember the first time I experienced heartburn, I was in 5th grade…yes 5th and I had to go to my dad’s classroom down the hall to ask him for something to help the horrid feeling that now I am all too familiar with.  I don’t know about you but summertime is full of activities, events and food that all trigger my heartburn and I finally got tired of it ruining my summertime fun!

Through my adult life I have found that my heartburn symptoms were always worse in the summer and when I was pregnant of course.  Recently, I started noticing that my heartburn would show up when I was trying to work out and play with the kids.  It is so frustrating to be having fun with Jude and Teagan and out of nowhere be knocked down with heartburn!  I do not know what the correlation is but I knew I had to do something about it.  We have a lot of plans this summer, one being our trip to a local YMCA that I knew I would need to combat my heartburn symptoms.  Also, for those of you who are waiting for a review of our weekend family get-a-way I promise it is coming soon!

As the summer activities started, so did my new heartburn relief plan.  I headed to my local Walgreens to check out the acid reducer products and I was instantly drawn to the purple pill – Nexium 24HR.  The Nexium level protection is not just for the evening and through the night.  It is all day, all night protection!  This is exactly what I needed to make sure I was heartburn free for all of our summertime adventures.

After being on the 24 hour relief purple pill for a while we headed up to our lodge at the YMCA and began our summertime fun!  Part of summertime for our family is camping and mountain trips.  It never fails – I ALWAYS get knocked down with heartburn pain while we are enjoying the mountains but while we were cooking out at the campfire, hiking, and having fun I was protected this time!  What a relief.  I could partake in all of the activities, snacks and food with out worry.

I don’t know if you struggle from heartburn but there are always trigger foods that make the problem worse.  One of those foods for me is hot dogs – any kind of hot dogs.  A delicious campfire hot dog would put me out of commission for hours before I started taking the Nexium 24HR purple pill.

Not anymore!!  Bring on the summertime favorites!  I am ready and I am protected for the whole day!  Just one Nexium 24HR a day gives you all-day, all-night protection from frequent heartburn!  Music to my summer ready ears.

For the month of June at Walgreens shoppers get $3 off of a 42ct. Nexium 24HR!  Time to experience this heartburn free summer feeling.  Enjoy those hot dogs, cheese dips and tomatoes – I know I am!
This is what I plan to enjoy this Summer now that I am heartburn free. What activities would you enjoy to the fullest?

My husband got it so bad once he went to the ER. After that he began eliminated foods from his diet that trigger heart burn. He did take Nexium for about a month.
