Everyone is talking about it – it is Back to School time! Jude will head to school for his 3rd year on Friday morning. Hard to believe. We are lucky enough, due to some school staffing moves, to have his same teacher for a third year, she is amazing with Jude. While I was gathering Jude’s school supplies and new school clothes I started thinking back to my childhood. Yes, we all had FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL plans, photos and jitters but my home was a bit different. You see, my parents were both teachers. I know how hard teachers work and I know how easy it is for them to catch all those germs in the beginning of the school year.
Teachers truly deserve so much more than we give them. So, I decided to start the new school year off with a little treat for Jude’s teacher. I love making kits or baskets for any occasion and this kit fit my idea perfectly. I created a super easy but super useful Back To School Survival Kit for Teachers.
So many great goodies but all things that every teacher will use and enjoy. I found all of these goodies at Target while stocking up on all things Back To School. I found a pretty coffee mug that any teacher would enjoy. I know I love starting the season off with a new mug for work – something life changing about the mug you use at work every morning! HA! I picked up some Monster trail mix for some easy snacking, tea for those cold afternoons, hard candy to help you get through those stressful moments and most importantly Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.
I picked up a simple basket to put all of these goodies in but also could be re-purposed in the classroom for some organization. I also decided to make a cute printable label that makes it easy to sign from the family or child and leave on the desk of the teacher the first day of school. We all know how crazy that first day is, so simply walk in and set on the desk to surprise that amazing person who is molding your child’s mind for the year!

One of the things I remember about my parents around the first part of the school year was them fighting off colds and bugs. They would always call the students in their classes little mini petri dishes full of germs. Now I work in a school and I couldn’t agree more!! Time to fight back and help the teachers during this back to school time.
I have always used Clorox Disinfecting Wipes in our home to help us stay germ free. Kids really do find all those germs and love to pass them along. Did you know that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are available in Citrus, Orange fusion, Fresh Scent, Lavender and Serene Clean? So many options and so many ways to make your home ready for those back to school germs!
Clorox Disinfecting Wipes kill 99.9% of germs including viruses that cause colds and flu.* Which is exactly what the teachers need all year round! They’re also effective against common bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (Staph), Salmonella enterica, and E. coli.
Didn’t this kit come out perfectly? Simple but full of items that the teacher in your life will appreciate. When I see sponges in classrooms I kind of cringe. When you use a sponge or a paper towel you are actually spreading bacteria from one surface to another. YUCK! Instead of killing germs, you’re just pushing them around and possibly increasing the contaminated area and that is why our kits contain the Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. The teacher and classroom staff can clean and disinfect at the same – bonus!
We are Back To School ready and I think Jude’s teacher will be too! I hope you are all having fun preparing for back to school and don’t forget those Clorox Disinfecting Wipes when you are picking up supplies at Target!
I have shared my take on the perfect Back to School Survival Kit for teachers and now it is your turn! What items would you add to this kit?
Every classroom can use this. What a great idea this is.
I love these Clorox wipes. I go through quite a few of them here at home. They would make a great gift for the teacher.
what a cute way to say Welcome back to the teacher. I love my clorox wipes.
I would get some fancy scented mini hand sanitizers just for the teacher and some lotion as well.
Teachers would appreciate those supplies. I can't believe it's back to school time already.
If i was a Teacher .. I would appreciate this! Especially the Wipes .. these will be a necessity for all the little spills
Such a cute, thoughtful and simple gift to give teachers! Even good for daycare providers too.
I want to give my son's teachers a back-to-school gift. This is an awesome idea. They can use all of the disinfecting power they can get!
I wish we would have done something like this. It's always nice to help out in the classroom!
These are great items. I love the idea of gifting for a teacher to start the year off
This is awesome, I need to make one for my girls' preschool teachers!
This is so thoughtful! We're just starting kindergarten this year, so I'm new to all of this!
How clever is that – I bet teachers would be so surprised and grateful!
I love Clorox wipes. I need them all year long.
Perfect for back to school! I am sure the teachers appreciate the supplies.
Great back to school kit! I would probably add a fun little notebook and bright colored pens because I love that stuff!
What a great teacher gift! As a former teacher myself, I can absolutely say that Clorox Wipes are essential in the classroom. Thanks for sharing! #client
I'm sure the teachers will appreciate a gift like this. I'd like to make something like this for my kids' teachers. Thanks for the idea.
I buy clorox wipes in bulk for our entire science dept. The gross we deal with is beyond kids lol
our back to school list includes these wipes every child must bring these to help supply teachers for a while
It's nice to spoil the teachers a bit. The beg. of the year is such a good time for parent generosity too. 🙂
How great is that ! I bet teachers would be so surprised and grateful and so happy to receive that!
