Hard to believe that the summer has come to an end. We had a busy summer so maybe that is why it went so fast, who knows but the first day of school has arrived. We officially have a little guy in Pre-K five days a week.
This year we did the front porch with the first day of school chalkboard again. It works so well and it is something I can prepare the day ahead of time. No craziness in the morning before school starts.
He looks so cute but so much older than last year. As we talked about earlier this summer, we have decided to delay kindergarten for Jude this year and have him in Pre-K instead. While he is the biggest and oldest in his class this year I really do think we are making a great choice. He will excel and mature in this class and allow him to be the older kiddo in his class next year as well.
He will be attending school five days a week but only for half days, this makes my mom happy too. She will still get to spend every afternoon with Jude. 🙂 This year Jude told us that when he grows up he wants to be a Zoo Keeper! I love it! He would be a great zoo keeper I think. His first day of school went great and he is excited to start another week.
This is his third year of school and look how he has changed. Such a big guy and ready for school! It is fun to look back on these memories every year.
Want to make your own First Day of School Chalkboard? Simply find a good size chalkboard and some chalkboard markers (way easier than chalk) and get creative! All three years our board has looked different. I love it!
Has your little one(s) started school yet?
These pictures are too cute! What a fun idea with the board – I need to do that with my boys this year!
Your son is adorable and I love his outfit. We homeschool and Monday we celebrated with over 20 families at our annual NOT Back To School Party!
Oh man, he looks so handsome! I am going to have to use the chalkboard idea for my pictures.
His shirt is so cool and I love his shoes. He looks so happy to be starting his first day.
I love this idea! It is a great way to track how they change physically and also how their goals and dreams are ever changing. School starts in 2 weeks so we will be doing our annual picture as well!
Adorable pics! Congrats on the first day of school. We start September 8th. My youngest will go to Kindergarten this year.
