What to expect at the Colorado Railroad Museum:
Thomas the Tank Engine is chugging into the Colorado Railroad Museum for the annual Day Out With Thomas event! All Thomas fans are invited to come spend the day with their favorite No. 1 engine. For 65 years, children have been captivated by the courageous adventures of Thomas and his engine friends.
A Day Out with Thomas is an exciting way for children and grown-ups to enter the world of Thomas & Friends. The event provides an opportunity for kids to ride on board a train led by Thomas & have their pictures taken with Sir Topham Hatt, the controller of Thomas’ railway.
Dress appropriately for the weather; the Museum is primarily an outdoor museum. Most Day Out With Thomas activities however are under cover.
The Museum will host a wide range of food vendors for lunch, snacks and dessert. You may bring your own picnic lunch, however, please note that the Museum has no locker or storage facilities. Both alcohol and cooking are prohibited.

My son! He would LOVE this. He saw an advertisement for this somewhere and he keeps talking about it, and I feel bad that we can't afford to go. It would be a great last activity to do before his baby brother arrives 🙂
My 5yr old would love!
We love Thomas! He is so fun!
Yay! Fun 🙂 we love the railroad museum
This is so cool and looks like a ton of fun. My little cousin would love to spend the day there.
This brings back so many memories of when my kids were little. They loved Thomas!
My youngest son used to have a huge train table with lots of Thomas the Train toys. He would have loved going to this.
It would be Brad and I taking Ella and Aubrey. They would LOVE this!!
My boys have ALL loved trains. Wish we had done a ride like this when they were young enough to appreciate it.
I think this is such a great family activity. My sons are adults now and never experienced Thomas the Train but I did take them from LA to Chicago on Amtrak and back when they were kids and they loved it.
I know so many kids that would love to see this! Thomas the Train is such a great experience for kids…..looks like so much fun!
We have a day out with Thomas near us- I've always wanted to go. Now that I have a train loving son I really want to get there this year!
We went two years ago. Would love to take my kids again.
