Even though Teagan was terrified of him, we did get a family photo with Sir Topham Hatt. Another fun thing that we look forward too at this event. The photography company on site takes great photos that you can purchase too – decent prices and packages by the way. In my opinion, well worth it so we can get photos of all of us together.

What to expect at the Colorado Railroad Museum:
Thomas the Tank Engine is chugging into the Colorado Railroad Museum for the annual Day Out With Thomas event! All Thomas fans are invited to come spend the day with their favorite No. 1 engine. For 65 years, children have been captivated by the courageous adventures of Thomas and his engine friends.
A Day Out with Thomas is an exciting way for children and grown-ups to enter the world of Thomas & Friends. The event provides an opportunity for kids to ride on board a train led by Thomas & have their pictures taken with Sir Topham Hatt, the controller of Thomas’ railway.
Dress appropriately for the weather; the Museum is primarily an outdoor museum. Most Day Out With Thomas activities however are under cover.
The Museum will host a wide range of food vendors for lunch, snacks and dessert. You may bring your own picnic lunch, however, please note that the Museum has no locker or storage facilities. Both alcohol and cooking are prohibited.
