When we walked into our local King Soopers this weekend and saw this sign, we both knew it was a perfect time to stock up on some great products to make some delicious breakfast recipes.

There is still time to take advantage of this great deal at your Kroger store, until October 27th you can walk away with 1 FREE dozen Simple Truth (Cage-Free) Eggs when you purchase any 3 participating products. You must also use your loyalty card but who doesn’t? The participating brands/products include Silk, Kashi, or Noosa – all amazing natural brands that our family really enjoys.

We certainly took advantage of this deal and walked away from the store with a good amount of items to create some yummy recipes before school.  It is so important to leave the house with a full tummy but more importantly a tummy that is full of REAL food.  I will be honest, sometimes the kids are handed a toaster pastry on those insanely crazy mornings but I am making it more of a habit to make a GOOD breakfast for the whole family every morning.  These brands make that goal more attainable.
I decided to make a kid friendly breakfast milk shake the other day and man it was a hit!  The Noosa yoghurt has so many flavors to choose from, but since fall is finally here in Colorado I really wanted to find a nice fall flavor for everyone to enjoy.

Cranberry Apple Almond Milk Shake

Seriously, who doesn’t love a milk shake but how about a milk shake for BREAKFAST??  Yes!  You should have seen the look I got from the kids when I answered their daily morning question “What’s for breakfast?” with a simple response – MILK SHAKES!  Oh being a mom is fun!

Directions:
For this milk shake I used our individual serving cup for our Ninja blender.
First, combine the ice, Noosa Yoghurt and Silk in the individual cup.
Blend on high for 1 minute.
Line the bottom of a large drinking glass with Simple Truth Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Cluster and Flake Granola.
Pour blended milk shake over the granola.
Top milk shake with more Simple Truth Cranberry Apple Cinnamon Cluster and Flake Granola.
Enjoy immediately.

I love using Silk Almond Milk in our smoothies and milk shakes because I feel like the almond milk has a great taste as well as the perfect blended consistency for milk shakes.  Frothy and flavorful!  I always add granola or cereal to our breakfast smoothies to give some extra crunch and texture but to also aid in some flavors.
I find that this Cranberry Apple Almond Milk Shake is the perfect fall breakfast for those with busy mornings.  The almond milk and yoghurt add some great protein in preparation for a great day!  Also, this is totally kid approved!  Yummy!
