How many of you have children that adore those overly processed prepacked meat and cheese trays for lunches and snacks?  Oh goodness, I say the word to my kids and they are totally overly excited.  I decided that this year when we are heading out for long trips, field trips or even a little picnic in the park that I would surprise my kids with their very own Homemade Lunchable made with love by ME!

Turned out pretty perfect right?  The best part was that I got to pick what went into this lunch – well actually the best part was seeing my kid’s faces light up with awe that their very own mommy could create a lunchable AT HOME!  I am supermom – but you already knew that.
As I was saying, picking what food goes into the lunchable is the perk to this creation.  Thankfully my kids adore all things cheese which means they love GOOD cheese too.  Goodbye processed and hello perfect Arla Dofino. Nom Nom!!

Arla Dofino brand of cheese includes a delicious variety cheese flavors such as Havarti, Gouda, Edam and Fontina. Arla Dofino cheeses are naturally good, free of added hormones and crafted with quality, natural ingredients in an environmentally-friendly way.  Sign us up!  We love using the Arla Dofino brand of cheeses for all kinds of events, snacking and meals – truly a brand that our family loves to enjoy.

How to Build a Lunchable

Items needed:
Crackers – of your choice
Meat – of your choice
Arla Dofino Cheese – I used 2 different types of Havarti
Directions:
1.  Find a shallow reusable and resealable container to place your items in.
2.  Using cupcake liners place items in liners.
3.  The liners keep the items separate from one another.
4.  Keep refrigerated until ready to eat.

Arla Dofino cheeses are available in both chunk form and slices, this allows you to get creative with your lunchable creation.  Maybe some cookie cutters could add some appeal for the kids – delicious cheese in shapes, sounds yummy to me!  Check the deli section of your local grocery store for these cheeses so you can get started on the surprise for your kids.
Eating should be fun and focused on good choices.  Finding items like Arla Dofino cheese is a great way to incorporate quality foods into your family’s diet.
Snack-To-School Facebook Sweepstakes:
Arla Dofino is hosting a “Snack-to-School” Facebook sweepstakes from September 15 to October 15, 2015. One winner will receive a semesters worth of Arla Dofino cheese and a Genuine Thermos lunch kit.
So now the question is – how do you get your kiddos to eat healthier snacks and lunches?

My kids are actually great at eating healthy. They have been reaching for fresh fruits, cheese, veggies since they were babies. I LOVE this homemade lunchables idea, Arla Dofino is a favorite especially the Havarti!

I love the idea of homemade lunchables. Way healthier than the store bought versions. I love Havarti cheese!

I love homemade lunchables. I pick items tailored to each of my kids. I mix things up, I put in something new, but also something I know they'll eat anytime they have it. They only get a snack included in their lunch when I see that they've eaten what I've sent in. If their lunches come home, no treat.

That creamy havariti looks SO good. I keep saying I am going to do theses instead of the crappy ones but I have yet to do so.

This looks like a great adult punchable. And I know I always covet my kids lunchables, they look so fun! I'll be making this for our next picnic.

My kids do love lunchables, but these are so much better. And that cheese looks delicious. I'll have to surprise my kids with this better version for lunch this weekend.
