Disclosure: As a LeapFrog Mom Ambassador, I receive products , promotional items and educational material to use and share as I see fit. However, any opinions expressed by me are honest and reflect my actual experience.

A few days ago I was happy to share one of the great LeapFrog Educational toys we received in the mail due to me being a LeapFrog Mom Squad Ambassador.  Today I am sharing something that is more than a toy but still brings educational value to ages 3-9.
Introducing the LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum.  Now, this tablet from LeapFrog is pretty amazing.  If you pair this tablet with the Imagicards some of our favorite characters literally come to life on the LeapPad screen.  It’s true!  We received a few of the Imagicards to try for ourselves and of course when given a choice Jude wanted to try the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles one first.  And goodness, it has been a hit!
Make Learning Magical!
We have not had a LeapFrog Tablet before but from what I have read this Platinum version is a huge upgrade.  Meaning, add this one to the list for birthdays, events and the upcoming holidays! From the minute Jude started playing the TMNT game on the LeapPad he felt like he was holding one of our tablets.  This is a high quality tablet for sure.

LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum Features:

  • 7″ hi-res multi-touch screen
  • fast processor
  • Just for Me Learning Technology
  • Wi-Fi with kid-safe web browser
  • shatter-safe screen
  • wrap-around bumper
  • two cameras and video recorders
  • 5+ hours of rechargeable battery
  • peer-to-peer connectivity
  • 8 GB memory
  • 10 apps
  • 1 free app download
  • 1,000 + games available for purchase and download
  • two colors: green or purple
Sounds pretty great right?  We agree – all of us.  We have had a few evenings after long days at work and school that we have all sat down together as a family to play on the LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum.  Good family fun but with some educational games!
LeapPad Platinum features Wi-Fi with a kid safe web browser that lets kids explore content they love with LeapSearch, kids can browse age appropriate content, handpicked by our team of learning experts and features parental setting for easy fine tuning by you!  The world of technology is growing fast – the fact is, our kids need to learn technology from a young age but safely!
Thankfully LeapFrog is remembering that yes we want a high quality product for our kids but they have to be durable items too.  This LeapPad Platinum is built Kid-Tough!  Durable shatter safe screen and a warp around bumper makes this tablet ready for every active kiddo!
Ages 3-9 years

Looks like hours of fun and entertainment! I love that the kids have their own unit – no longer the ipad or the smartphone!

That looks awesome! I think my son would love something like that when he was younger! Will share it with a friend who just mentioned she's looking for a tablet!

We just got our little one the Leap Pad glo and I find that even though we got it for the 4 year old she has to fight to take it away from her 8 year old sister and 10 year old brother. There is so much for everyone with Leap pad.

We've had several different LeapFrog products over the years and every time my kids become completely enthralled! We've yet to try the LeapPad Platinum, but it looks like yet another innovative way for little kids to learn!

I put Leap Frog in the top as it relates to interactive learning tools for kids. I like that the LeapFrog LeapPad Platinum ranges from ages 3-9 which means there must be a wide variety of activities for kids to choose from.

We still have the more old school Leap Pads in the house (where you had a cartridge and book.) They make a great product which all of my boys have enjoyed over the years.
