October was a whirlwind and honestly, that sounds calmer than it truly was. It is hard to believe that November is here and we are now moving on to Thanksgiving festivities. Before we do that here at Building Our Story I need to share our traditional family trip to Anderson Farms Pumpkin Patch in Erie Colorado and our Halloween memories.
This is our 5th year taking costume photos on the corn at Anderson Farms. This is our favorite pumpkin patch to visit in Colorado and I know we will be coming back for years to come just to have fun but to also do these great costume photos!
Teagan was set on being Doc McStuffins for a long time and she certainly owned this costume and character. She knows the songs and the popular lines of the cartoon which makes it even more fun when she puts her costume on. Jude on the other hand, was not always wanting to be a ghostbuster but then about one month before Halloween he was in love with the Ghostbuster costume he saw at the store. What a cute pair!
We decided to head to Anderson Farms this year when Jeremy’s parents were in town for Teagan’s birthday party – that post is coming soon too! We had a great time doing our traditional costume photos, playing at the farm and of course going out to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkins. It was even more fun since Grandma and Grandpa were with us.
Once the costumes were off the kids were running around the farm enjoying the abnormally HOT weather for October in Colorado. We are talking almost 90 degrees! Crazy! But we were thankful for no snow!
Grandma went to jail with Jude and Teagan this year. Oh no!!!!

Teagan only wanted a little one. Sweet girl. We did buy another big one to carve too.
Another year of family fun at Anderson Farms! Cannot wait for our trip next year, one of my favorite family outings.

Every Ghostbuster needs a Stay Puff Marshmallow Man to walk with him. Jeremy wins Dad of the Year for his Halloween costume. Once Jude decided on being a Ghostbuster, we went out and bought Jeremy this ultimate costume! Ha!! He was quite a hit at Jude’s school Trunk or Treat!
Get him Jude!! Jude had such a great time walking around with daddy in this costume. Truck or Treat was a lot of fun too. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time playing games and getting TONS of candy!
Doc McStuffins was ready for some Trunk Or Treat fun! Thankfully Trunk or Treat was Friday night and both kids were feeling great. Unfortunately, on Saturday (Halloween) Miss Doc became the patient rather than the doctor. Poor thing has a terrible virus that is mocking croup and strep. Miserable!
Even with a sick Teagan we carved pumpkins and got ready for Halloween Trick or Treating. She was not happy with me taking her pictures.
Like I said, I am so happy that she was feeling well for Trunk or Treat the night before because she did not do any Trick or Treating on Halloween night. Sweet girl. We will always remember Halloween 2015 with a trip to the doctor and a sick Teagan being pulled in the wagon all bundled up while Jude went door to door. Such a bummer!
This guy on the other hand – he had so much fun on Halloween night. Running from one door to the next and of course showing off his daddy in the Stay Puff Marshmallow costume.

Aww so cute. Looks like they had fun at the pumpkin patch. I made my son's costume this year. He went as a werewolf. I took faux fur and a pair of old pants and button down shirt, tore holes and then sewed the fur in. It was a big hit!

What a fabulous pumpkin patch! I love taking my kids photo at our patches growth chart too. It's so fun to see the change from year to year.
My son was a Giant Football made from a toy bin! It was awesome!
Looks like you all had a blast for Halloween! We did, too, though we unfortunately never got around to any pumpkin patches this year.
