Over the weekend we did a ton of work on both Jude and Teagan’s bedrooms. I am still exhausted! But with all of the hard work we finally feel like they both have their own space and all of the baby gear is finally out of their closets. We also added some great storage and shelves in their rooms which has been great for them both. Not only is this giving them storage but we are showing them how to clean up their room daily! Yes!!
One of the biggest things that came out of this week long project was purchasing Teagan’s big girl bed! We converted her crib into the full size bed and found a great deal on a mattress – thanks President’s Day sales!
It is so hard to believe that she is old enough for this change but she is really doing well with it. She is excited to go to bed and take naps – seriously! She has been staying in her bed the whole night too! That really surprised me – I thought she would be like Jude and be in and out of her bed all the time.
She picked out the cutest quilt that goes perfectly with her grey and pink walls! Such a big girl! We are proud of her for being so big – potty trained and a big girl bed!! So many HUGE milestones recently.
What tips do you have for transitioning your child to a Big Kid Bed?
Honestly, I don't have any tips. Both of my kids slept just fine in their big boy beds when we moved them from the cribs.
Aw look at her enjoying her big girl bed,. She really is loving it.
I love that her name is Teagan 🙂 She looks so happy! I remember when we transitioned both kids to a bigger bed it was sad and fun at the same time.
Oh how cute. Seems like she is loving her new bed…so much fun.
It's a good sign that she seems happy about it. It can be challenging for some kids.
ahhhhh I remember that day my daughter switched to a big girl bed and it is still a clear memory. I wish they could stay little forever 😉
She picked that quilt out herself? What great taste at an early age!
You know, I have transitioned 4 boys and I am the most scared about transitioning my twin girls! They are going to be 2 this summer. And I feel as if I am a new momma all over again! LOL
GO Teagan! I am hoping to keep Em in the toddler bed forever!
