Over the last couple of months I have been sharing all about our trip to Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa and making our lists of what to do or not do on our next visit. One of the experiences that I was lucky enough to have with one of my bloggy BFF was tour and excursion to a local hot spot filled with iguanas!
Provo Adventure Cruise with Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa:
A scenic sail along Provo’s coastline transports adventurers to Little Water Cay and a visit with the unique inhabitants — endangered rock iguanas. A guided tour of the cay offers a close-up look at this friendly species in their natural habitat. Next, it’s all aboard to the Captain’s favorite snorkeling spot to and a swim with amazing coral, fish and colorful marine life. Finally a stop at a private beach for sunbathing, or a search for treasures like delicate sea shells and sand dollars.

My eldest daughter would lose her ever loving mind! She is terrified of lizards even teeny tiny ones so unless we didn't tell her where we were going she wouldn't step foot on the beach. I totally would go and try to catch an iguana to take home. 🙂
I love iguanas! It really looked like a beautiful trip. Thanks for sharing your photos!
Water camera is so important if you are snorkeling. Adding it to my list.
That is so cool that Iguanas have their own little Island. I never knew this even existed and have only seen them in pet stores. How cool it must have been to just be walking around and seeing them everywhere. I don't blame you for staying out of the water when you saw the shark. lol I would have done the same thing. Can never be to careful. haha
Super Jealous! I have always wanted to visit Turks & Caicos! Not a bad place for a conference. Where I live we have huge iguanas in our back yard but the shark in the water would leave me a bit scared lol
I have never been on a trip like this, but I would certainly love to someday! I can't imagine how amazing it must have been to see such large and beautiful lizards up close. Sounds like you a had a great time, in definitely adding this to my bucket list!
My uncle used to have an iguana as a pet. Growing up, we have always seen it only in an aquarium. That one looks huge! It's great to have personally witnessed it in that island.
A Go Pro is a must nowadays on beach vacations! I am loving how you showed off your day at the beach. I would LOVE to go Iguana Island – what an AMAZING place to vacation. Cute suit and photos!
I've never been to Turk & Caicos. Such an amazing place to vacation. I am sure my kids will enjoy this place ==rika==
Gosh I just want to get back there!!!
What stunning pictures! I go to Sardinia (Italy) every year and I have to say that the pictures remind me of it here…the flora and fauna is very similar…
I saw iguanas like that when we went to the Galapagos as a kid! I'd love to go to Provo sometime. I read about the islands in a travel book last year and was fascinated.
