Finding easy but delicious dinner recipes can be difficult, especially as the kids get older and we end up having more week night plans after school and work. My kids love sandwiches but the adults in the house do not want to just rely on cold cuts every busy evening so I decided to spice up a traditional shrimp sandwich with a homemade remoulade sauce, a fun pretzel bun and our favorite SeaPack® shrimp.
I am not a big sea food lover but I adore shrimp – any kind of shrimp! I know I got this love from my grandma, I remember trying beer battered shrimp when I was just a child and instantly shared a shrimp love with my grandma. I decided that I would introduce my kids to shrimp by creating a yummy sandwich with some SeaPack Popcorn Shrimp – it was a hit. Lucky for us, our kids like all sea food so having these great Party Size boxes of oven ready shrimp on hand makes for an easy way to have dinner on the table fast!
There is something very important about the sauce that goes with shrimp so when I thought of these shrimp sandwiches on a pretzel bun I knew I had to create the perfect sauce for our sandwiches but also wanted to find a dipping sauce that can be used as well.
